I think it depends on why they said 'no' and what your relatiinship was like already.
Also if you are both happy with the way things are it may be better to not get married for a while.

well i guess i wont feel too bad!!
i might feel a little down for a few days, but i guess i would get over it as no one is tht important to me as i am!!
i wud just think "to hell with him" and go on with my life!!

if i propose to someone and he rejects it, i would definitely ask him why especially if i know that the relationship is going so smooth and everything in my view is really alright. if he gives reasonables reasons for saying no, maybe he's not just ready, i think becasue i am so much in love with him, i'd definitely understand it.
but if he gives reasons just simple to give one, i'd definitely feel bad and tell to him how i felt so upset and let go of him. i'd tell him that i can't be with a man that doasn't have the gutts to take the relationship in the next level.

I dread and anticipate that moment. I'm planning to propose to my girlfriend soon. If she says "yes" then I'm the happiest man in the world but if she says "no" I really don't know how to react. I'm sure gonna be stunned about the rejection but after that my mind will just go blank from the overwhelming feelings that are trapped in my guts.

It depends how much I love that person. I would love to try again, but knowing myself, I guess I would close up and have hard time to comunicate with that person. But i perfect situation it is always worth to try again:)

This happened to me with my first girlfriend as I proposed to her but she turned me down stating she was not ready to get married and wanted to enjoy being young still. Funny thing is, a couple of months later she became engaged to someone else. I was understanding at first about her not ready to get married yet but was hurt and sad that she became engaged to someone else so soon after I proposed to her and after her statements. Me and her are still good friends and keep in touch when she can since she has a son now as well as a husband. All has been forgotten as far as the rejection and we remain good friends.
