What do you think makes a good Mother?

As a child, I useto criticise my mother. I useto say that "I can do better". Now I am a mother of two and I realized it does not come with a manual. its not as easy as it seems. there is alot of grey area. What do you think makes a good mother?

Good fathers will make good mothers.

Unfortunately sometimes, great mothers don't always have the support of the father, as he is no longer around. They then have to be both mum and dad. It's tough, but you have to sometimes step back and let them do their own thing, and learn from their mistakes as it were, as long as they are not in any danger, ofcourse. It's a daily learning process.

I think you need to give you children enough space to be themselves and enough boundaries so they learn about life. You need to show them you love them and be there for them whenever they need you. You need to deal with their physical needs and their emotional ones.
