What helps you to get through when you are at your lowest point and it is hard to see the light at end of the tunnel?

I excercise. I play music of my favorite artists or chill with my favorite TV program. I'll call a good friend, as I have free long distance. I'll make plans to hang out. The trick is not to spend a lot time alone and to do things that make you happy!

For me, it is knowing that things will get better. I had a very traumatic childhood. Tons of abuse, neglect, etc. What kept me going was knowing that I could rise above all that and accomplish anything. I am now almost finished my nursing degree. Although it is hard to see the light, knowing that it is there somewhere made all the difference to me.
Hope that helps a little bit.

Hi, thanks for responding. I guess sometimes in life we think we have had it bad and then we realise that others have it worst and continue to face more difficult challenges than we do.
It's good to hear from someone who has had bad days and continues to rise above them. Congrats on your nursuing degree:-)

i have faced lot of ups and downs in my life. whenever i've faced a difficult situation i've prayed to God. He then gives me inner strength to cope with it. Hope is another thing that i never let it die.

Usually I will feel bad, but no matter what happens, I always feel that the gest if yet to come and also to pray to the Almighty to feel better; Also, I love to listen to some good music and relax. That is what I do.
