Well I used to order just rare for it. I liked it pink and I didn't mind a little blood. The problem came in for some restaurants, at least around my area, rare meant raw in the center. No I don't like it raw and cold in the center. I now have to order it medium rare, it comes out a little bit more towards the pale pink but at least it's not raw. It still has the flavor I like and it's juicy which is important to me.

i used to like my steak being well done. but i found when i would make it this way or have someone else make it this way. that each time i would take a bite out of my steak that it would be so tough to eat. i find when you cook your steak well done it makes it tough to eat.
recently, i like mine medium rare. i find it tastes better this way because i find it is easier to chew. but it also has a lot of flavor to it as well. i still do like a mix though.. i sometimes will like having my steaks medium rare. other times i will like them well done. but medium rare makes it so much tastier these days i find.. i don't have to worry about my meat being all to tough to eat.
i don't no how anyone could eat a steak rare. but i guess we all have our preferences. i think i'd puke if i ate it this way though.

oh boyy.
I just had a center cut sirloin today.. ordered it medium rare.. everytime i order it, it comes out different *sigh*
but i like mine very pink.. warm throughout.. and juicey!
MmmmMMMm...
Does anyone get weird looks when ordering 'rarer' stuff?
I have an interesting story... My mom ordered steak once.. she wanted it rare.. each time they cooked it way too much. Finally they cooked one.. that was cooked briefly on one side. and not at all on the other side.. The waitress sat there and watched her eat it.. it was pretty funny. (My mom would eat meat completely raw)

Well i guess you would call it medium. Though, if i order it in a restaurant, I say to the waiter, "cook it just enough so its not pink" that way they no exactly what i want and can label it correctly.

My favorite would be medium as when its medium rare it tastes a bit dry to me. Medium still has the chewyness, fat, and its moist so you dont take forever eating one bite. Burnt is bad as all you taste is burntness and its extremely dry. The healthiest would be well done cuz all the worms bacteria and other bad causes are gone but again it is dry.
