I do use canned food, but you know I rinse the heck out of it. It's a habit I picked up from my grandma. I just rinse and rinse and rinse it like there's no tomorrow. I guess I'm just trying to get the "can" taste off of it.

I don't use much canned food. I prefer frozen or fresh. It tastes better and is healthier.

you can freeze almost anything... i preserve green beans, spinach, corns, green onions, celantro, green chillies and almost anything... i just washed them and drained them pat dry them and cut them in desired size and then put them in zip-lock bag and freeze them.

Can food are not as healthy as fresh foods. Can foods are higher in sodium, a preservative. If you would like to freeze your own veggies, this is how I do it. First wash your vegetables and let them dry some. Next, put in a ziploc freezer bag and press out as much air as possible. ( I have used a straw and sucked the air out) This helps eliminate freezer burn. You can freeze most garden veggies. I have not frozen tomatoes or cucumbers. When freezing squash, I usually cook it some first.
