If you could only choose one of these three things, which would you choose?

You are at a crossroads and you are given three choices to choose for your road of life. It will be for the rest of your life. Which do you choose? (You may only choose one road and may not go back).
Road A: Self confidence
Road B: Wealth
Road C: Power
Road D: Happiness.
Choose wisely because you only get one shot. Tell me why you chose this option before all the others.
I will tell you which one I choose later, because I want you all to tell me what you choose first.

Well..besides the fact that you gave four choices and not just three lol..I'd go with happiness. Confidence can be built up and knocked down by others, wealth and power are hard to obtain without tangible objects, but happiness..what makes a person truly happy can only be defined within themselves. What they want in life, and how they want to go about getting it.

Oh well hunni, this is easy for me...
I would chose D time and time again... Happiness.
Happiness to me is the key to life. After you've aquired happiness, only then can you move forward. I don't care about money, if you have lots or therefore lack of it, your frustrated no matter what, money always causes conflict. If your happy, truly, you have self confidence, and power has never done any good for anyone.
So i guess yeah, i chose happiness, and i think i always would, hands down...
And if that was the road that i would chose, and it is, then i've already gotten there... Doesn't mean that i can't have future goals and things i want to do with my life right? haha ;)
Great thought

I would choose road A because I feel if you have confidence in yourself you can achieve the happiness, wealth, and power.

Sorry but the one which to me is the most important of all is not listed and without which you could never enjoy any of the others so I choose above all: Health

I would choose D hehehe i think all the other options comes after happiness. Happiness is what everybody wants in life and i think when there is wealth, power and self confidence will surely be there. I guess everybody will guess happiness if not wealth

Well!I would choose the self confidence road.Without self confidence life become a waste. You cannot face any difficult situation and you will be a nervous wreck. With self confidence you can attain the essence of the other three roads.Correct me if Iam wrong!

Well that was certainly something to think about, not an easy decision, it depends if you think that wealth (road b) could buy road d which in turn gets you road a and wealth also gets you road b! So I would say that I would definitely go for Road B Wealth because for me that would get me roads a, c and d! Thanks for that discussion, enjoyed it.

i think most people wud choose happiness out here!!!
wel i wudnt coz i know for sure that if this happened to me in real life, then i sure as hell wudnt pick happiness!
it wud be either wealth or power... and its difficult to chose b/w the two!
i think power won!! the idea behind having money is to get the power associated with it!! but if the power is available directly, then i chose it! atleast then i neednt worry like a rich man, whether i wud lose my money or if i wud be mugged or somethign to that effect..
with so much power, i knw i can make myself happy!!
i knwo i wudnt have got happiness if i chose money.... but with power its atleast a distant possibility!

i'd choose power road. Power is the capacity to influence others. with power, i can influence people to be good, create a world of peace and happiness, of prosperity and wealth. afterall, having power does not necesarily mean that you are corrupt.

moreover, happiness is always directed to one's self... can't we include others in our plans of living a good life?

Exactly! I agree completely with you kortni...if you have happiness you can go out and get the other things and if you decide to never go after them you are still happy in life and IMO you cant beat that..

I would choose happiness, i think happiness is the key to.. Happiness xD.. Well, i think happiness englobes everything you need to the life, to some happiness is money, to some wealth and to some love.. i think happiness is living at your own way and doing things you want to do at your life, I think happiness has love, wealth, and money, BuT why Money? well, with money you really can have better resources and stuff, of course money is not all.
Then i'd choose D, because i think happiness consists what you really want to do in your life and being happy in your life, is just everything in my opinion.

Lol! I think I have to agree with this somehow... I want to sound all great and nice and say "happiness" but my fellow teacher here is spot on! haha. I doubt I would go with a beetle though... maybe a porsche 365b convertible, 1961 edition in banana yellow with leather bucket seats as an optional extra... I haven't really given it much thought.. hahaha.
Go on then... I'll submit and say "happiness" to sound good and christian..... nah I can't do it, I want the money!! Show me the money!

Happiness flows from within. "Know thyself" Having a complete understanding of who and what you are will allow happiness and joy to flow continusly. It will also result in a firm ushakeable self confidence. You know that no matter what life throws at you, you will make the best choice that you can. The world doesnt fall apart if you make mistakes. Wealth is subjective. If you have enough to satisfy all your desires then you are wealthy. The only power we have over life is the power of choice. Consequences of the choices we make are often beyond our ability to see. All roads lead to the same place nowhere. The best roads are the ones that have heart. If you can enjoy walking that road to wherever it takes you then that is the road to travel

I would chose D : happiness.
Life is nothing without happiness, a happy mind is a productive mind! if i am happy i can achieve wealth, power and self confidence but if i am sad and miserable wealth, power and self confidence are not going to make any difference.
Come to think of it why does everybody crave self confidence, wealth and power in the first place? i think because they all lead to Happiness! So option D:Happiness it is for me!!

i would defanitly choose happiness. they would all be nice but what are they if you can't have happiness. i would love wealth but i know people that have money and need for nothing and they are so unhappy and misrable. i would also love power but that seems like it would be an unhappy road as well. i just don't see the sense in having any thing if you can't have happiness. i really have no good answer for y i choose happiness over the rest but i have done with out all of them but happiness and theres nothing better then happiness. my kids and family are my happiness and theres nothing better.

I would choose happiness. For me personally, I tend to think that unless you are happy inside you will never find happiness outside. When you happy inside and outside, you will automatically build self-confidence. When you have self-confidence, you can set your mind to anything you want and that include wealth and power.

A happy man will be self confident.
A wealthy man will be happy.
Power gives a man happiness and satisfaction.
If you are satisfied you will be happy.
Altogether happiness is the main goal of man. Then why should I think about the other roads, while you offer happiness directly through Road D? I will move along that road.

Hmmm...this is hard. I have to choose between self confidence and happiness. Though, I'd choose happiness because that is what I want to have the rest of my life. Self confidence, sure it'd make you happy. But that's just one category, whereas happiness is happiness of all things itself. I hope that makes sense :)
