Following on from my Ignorance No excuse and getting my name right or wrong as it were! Oh and I thought I'd share this with you, someone actually spelt my MYLOT name as WOOFIE! But that made me laugh.
Anyhow what if you could change your name, have you ever changed your name? (deed poll) would it change you? I mean some celebrities like:
George Michael was Georgios (Yorgos) Kyriacos
Michael Caine was Maurice Micklewhite
Elton John was Reginald Kenneth Dwight
What name would you love to have and if you had a different name would it change you in any way?
I think I'd change Brian to
Wolfie Wickle can you imagine or even
Reese Mount Batten
Think of the fun you could have and it could impress others or not as the case maybe!

Mr Brian Wolfie I just need to say thank you. Your discussions always cheer me up and make me smile.
So thank you for that. OK changing name .. NO I do
not think I would. I have had this name for over 40
years and I am getting used to it. I like my name
because for whatever reason that is the name I was
given when I was born. If I changed it now then that
would be liking interfering witht the way I was born.
So I do not want to do that so I would just stick with
the name I was given.

I am thinking of changing my real name to Snow. I would be Snow Goss. Or maybe even better. Snow fox. Or Snow bunny. Or maybe even Snow white. Well I have been called a princess a few times.lol Everyone I know already calls me Snow so why not change it? I like Wolfie Wickle.

Well people change the spelling of names so as to make their name astrologically lucky, This trend is more prevalent in actor and actresses. But somehow even I find my name very common in my country so from sunita i would like this to change to nikita, nita or namita just for fun.

I would like the idea of thinking about all the things it could be changed to. I wouldnt really want to change it but it would be fun to think about. You always start really good topics. I am now thinking about this to see what comes to mind.

I have always felt like I my name is so plain. Linda. boring. I wanted to be called Catherine the entire time I was growing up. But Mom would have no part of that. Well now I am going to hit 43 this year (painfull), just as well to stay Linda and be Catherine in my dreams.

Woofie Wickle .. it does trip off the tongue well .. heheh
As I have already changed my name by deed poll so I say just do it .. only don't expect your mother to call you anything but the name she choose for you .. my mother still uses my 'given' name even though it's not legally my name any more ..
Trouble with changing your name .. you have to change ALL your present lifes documents too .. banks, car, college you name it .. it needs changing over .. flippin' nightmare ..

Yes and it is very expensive too, I changed my name by deed poll through my solicitor, thankfully as I was in the middle of buying a house with him, he didn't charge me for it, a decent solicitor! That was only my middle name I changed at the time back in 2003, my passport still has my old middle name but it expires this year so I can at last change it!

I would never change my name, I don't want to cange it. There are lots of love of my parents are there in my name, and I love my name. So, there is no chance to change it.
But sometime some people surely do change it by pronouncing it wrong, but I don't mind that.
One of my friend's name is Aveline, sometime some people call her eleven lol. Specially international people do it, may be because they are not familier with that name.
We laugh a lot by teasing her calling eleven.

Oh dear that is strange maybe they hit the o too many times and that is why they spelt your name wrong. My name wss changed not by me doing it, but when I was born my name was Judith and when I was adopted my name was changed to Kathleen but my friends call me Kathy, I would not want my name changed. I like my name as it has a special meaning behind it.

I don't change names but I do add to it for some reason. I also have several nicknames and no one knows they're mine. But now I don't have that habit anymore. I kept getting into trouble for having so many aliases :) now I use littlemel most of the time.

Lol, thank you for making me giggle.
I was born as Patricia, which I HATE. But then I was adopted when I was 10 weeks old by a couple who changed my name to Dawn.
I'm not overly find of my name, but it definitely beats the one my biological parents gave me, and so I guess I have to be satisfied with what I was given.
I was determined however that my children not have "ordinary" names, and so they have been given uncommon names. At least their friend don't get mixed up when calling names across the school play yard! Lol.

I wouldn't want to change mine. I like it, and I also have double initials (LL) so it sounds kinda cool already!

When I get married I changed my name. And after the divorce, i kept the new name. My exhusband gave his permission too. I did not liked my borned name, because that was simple, and common. The new is simple too, but more "characteristic".

I wouldn't change my name. It has served me well for 50 years, so to change it now would be odd! In some ways it would seem disrespectful to my parents to change my name, as they likely thought long and hard (as I did when I had children) about what to name me! I don't understand why the movie and music celebrities feel the need to change their names. If their work is good, they will be followed no matter their name (I would think). If people can't like me with this name, then I don't need them!

I've never changed my name by Deed Poll no, but when I was younger I was often called by my middle name, which is Sarah, as I tended to prefer it to Rose. Now there are still some people from my youth who still call me Sarah, which can be a mite confusing!!! I was also blessed/cursed with a Polish surname as my maiden name, with so many "z" and "w" in it, that no one here could ever pronunce it, so when I was a teenager, and met anyone for the first time, if they wanted to know my surname I tended to say it was "Walker" because it was so much easier! As for why I chose "Walker" I don't know! The ony good thing abot my failed first marruage was that I inherited a much easier British surname!

LOL you are a trip- so funny!!!!! My name is Sandy, and no on ever gets it right- it's always, Cindy, Nancy, Candy, Bambi or one time even Veronica- don't ask I have no idea where this womn came up with that one. But as a kid I always wanted to be called Samatha cause my dad's name was Sam, kind of silly but that was it. On a lighter note if I were to pick a fun name it would be Bambi, because I've been told that I have Doe eyes...LOL

I don't like my name -- Kathy -- but I don't think I would change it. I would change it if it was uncommon/foreign cause it'd help when applying for jobs, seriously // racial profiling. But no, I don't think it'd change me, haha. You are you, no matter what your name is.
