Good discussions, how do you find them?

In light of the loss which some mylotters have faced, i thought i'd ask this. Good discussions, how do you find them?
I personally only reply to discussions which i see remaining on here and not to be deleted. i see this as being important not because i don't want to lose earnings but because i don't support spam and i try hard to do this for mylots sake.
/--------------------------------/
What i do.
I make friends with user's who i believe are posting good discussions. (also because there friendly, so please don't take this the wrong way)
I stick everyone on notify, so i can get their disucssion sent to me which cuts the search time. Away from friends, i look for good titles or discussions with good content and isn't meaningless. (i'm sure you've noticed some which don't make sense being posted)
So how do you find good discussion? care to share and help fellow users?
~Joey

Hey megan =)
That's what i used to do.
Although i spent hours going through alot and my response time was qute low. The way i'm doing it now is fun, even if i get a inbox full of hundred e-mails. lol
Kudos &,

Hehe.
I think i will if i get more on my friends list, although now i'm only going to accept people who have intentions of talking. as i get over a 100 a day, still it helps to skip through and find decent discussions.
Cheers again megan!

One of the best ways is to make a list of topics that you like and do a search on MyLot for matching subjects... if you find none, then start the discussion yourself...
Lots of discussions get started before people look to see if there are already loads of them in the same vein...
Then all you have to do is comment on the ones with good openings, and or great responses...

I find good discussion from the lot of mylot and reply to only them and give my point of view very strong whether it annoys people or not. After all i was asked to give my opinion and not other's.
Good discussions are based on one's taste and interersts. Scourge for your interests and find if you have any else goto life and people you will always find good discussions there because life is complicates one.

I too only am choosey with friends.. I select them by interest.. If they answer my questions, or if they post discussions that interest me- I try to befriend them. I want friends that share my interests so that I can respond to their discussions. So I always start my day at Mylot looking at "discussions my friends started"- I then make my way to today's top discussions-- A few of these usually catch my eye. If I see new discussions that interest me I'll check out the person's profile.. I usually answer a few more discussions that way too.. Then I ask to be my friend.
I also do not answer the spam discussions-- 1 or 2 liners with no real question.

Every time I enter to myLot, I enter to "Today's top discussions", and share my opinion. After i'm done, i'm going to the bottom of the page to see if there are some discussion with the same subject, and I response to them as well.
After i'm done with this, i'm going to "New discussions", and after it to "Discussions my friends started".

I too find good discussions by if the person posts to good discussions; discussions that are of my intrest and not a waist of time. I find good discussions by seeing what certain friends have posted to and discussions they have started. So for me if I find a user who posts good dicussions/responds to good discussions..I usually add them.
When I say good I mean of intrest to me..just my opinion :)

I find it pretty difficult to find discussions that really interest me. Most of the time i check my friends discussions and reply to most of them before looking elsewhere. I don't have them sent to my inbox though, i don't think my server could handle it lol.

I keep reading posts till I find a good one to reply at it and fortunately I always find some good posts. Not all the posts bad or scam there are many good discussions and useful topics, but I also look at my friends posts and reply to them first if I find something interesting.

My process is the same as your's. I keep notify button on for my friends and go through all of their discussions. Ofcourse, I can't respond all of them as I can't relate to all discussions started by my friends, but I get enough to respond always(I make only 20-30 posts every day).
If sometime I go short on my friend's discussions then I go for topic which interests me.

Nice to see you sweetlady =)
It's the same for me. Sometimes notice (6) discussions and around 3 of them i can reply to. others have ones which i nearly always relate to.
Thanks for sharing.

I am like you, in that I try very hard not to get involved in discussions that I think may be deleted. Like you, it is not so moauch the losing money aspect, - it is not that much money anyway, - but just the whole idea of spam irritates me, plus I tink it's rude to MyLot, that some people just use this site as a vehicle to plug their own referral IDs, or try to lure people away from MyLot. I have my friends on notify too, so that I get emails when they make new discussions. I do sometimes go to new user discussions though too, as some of them are good, but just don't get widely seen as the users don't have enough friends to boost them up the rankings so to speak. Have a nice day!

I seek first the discussions my friends have started. If I like the topic and have something constructive to add, I will respond. If I have answered all my friends posts, I look to discussions started in my interests. If there is nothing of value for me to add there, I try to start my own discussion. I dont answer just everything. I try to find things that interest me, or that I have some advice to offer. Sometimes there isn't anything, so I just come back later.

Recently, I have been having a hard time looking for graet discussions to respond to. Mostly, I get to find them with "discussions my friends have started" then I take it from there. The trouble is the uniquness of posts. Everything seems to be the same topic over and over. But of course, no one is perfect. Other people's queries may be the same topic but of a particular lot. so they start a new dscussion.

Hello.. Well i'm technically new here at mylot so i still need to learn somethings and i don't know everything about it, so recently, i have been seeing the Top discussions at the day and posting... But now that i know Mylot.com a bit better, i guess i can start trying to search topics from my interest and also good topics that people might don't see or something like... It's always good to post on an good discussion that you can learn anything from it. :)

I look through all my friends discussions, which makes it much easier to find good discussions. That is the first place I look.
Then I go to todays hot topics and go through a few pages of those. Then later in the day I go back to my friend's dicussions and then discussions I've responded too to see if anyone has replied to anyone I said....after all that is what makes a discussion right?
I mostly reply to discussions because I can't think of anything good to talk about...lol

I too have a hard time finding good discussions to respond to. I seem to scan the new discussions/recent discussions and the like, and then head over to my friends list to see what's up.
I have notify on for my friends to make it easier to see what new posts they have done. I have found though that only the new discussions come to me -- if an older discussion is revived then I do not get notice of that, but will see it on the recent friends posting ~ so I do sometimes wander around the friends' sites to see what is there that I do not know about.

I read through my friends of course first. I answer the ones i find interesting and maybe some not just to keep it fair. Then i will start searching through new discussions and topics of my interest to find others to reply to. It works out for me Joey.
