My trip to Lynchburg on March 11 will be the first time that I will fly. I am flying out of Omaha into Chicago and the to Charlotte, and from there on to Lynchburg. I have some fairly bad allergies and am wondering if flying will affect them. Does anyone have any tips to help a new flyer not be so worried about flying? I really want to enjoy the trip.

Sleeping might be an option since my flight leaves at 6:54am. When I am not at work I generally don't start moving till about 8 am at the earliest. I will probably also have homework to do so I should be able to entertain myself.

Hi, it's actually safer to fly then drive in a car. Flying is like sitting in a car but your in the air and you might hit some turbulance but that's normal. It's cool when you look out the window and see the clouds beneath you they look like a continuous cotton ball that you could jump into. If you like to read take a book with you, some planes have movies to watch. When I fly (which isn't very often) I just think to myself that if it's my time to go it would happen even if I was on the ground. Flying is actually nicer than riding in a car (no traffic!) Hope you enjoy your trip

Thank you for the advice. I might have to read anyway on the plane if I am not done studying by then. LOL. I tend to procrastinate and then I have to rush to finish things up.
