Does watching anime influence your food choices?

Have you ever caught yourself craving something because characters in anime you watch eat it? Do you feel you eat more Japanese or Chinese food because you watch anime?
I have to admit that whenever I watch "Cooking Master Boy" I have to go eat Chinese food. For those who haven't seen this, it's very cheesy, very funny, and overall quite ridiculous.
When I watch Naruto, I want to eat ramen. And I'm sure I can think of a million other example of anime making me want to eat specific foods. Does anyone else have this experience, or am I just way too easily influenced by things I watch?

Not exactly. I watch a lot of DBZ, I cant get sensu beans right? I eat groundnuts in place. LOL, Seriously, I didn't grow up eating such food. I seldom have noodles, manchurian, etc with friends. I do feel hungry on seeing the characters eat, so I eat what I usually eat to get through. I Love Naruto too, especially the back ground musics. its hair-raising stuff........!!!!! LONG LIVE ANIME !!!!

i haven't seen cooking master boy. maybe it's not shown here in the philippines.
i am an anime fanatic because i was influenced by my two younger brothers. haha!
once i was watching a scene in naruto. actually, many scenes there about naruto and friends craving for ramen. and yep. there were once when i really craved for ramen, too just because i've seen them eat ramen. and naruto really eats a lot! haha! and quick, too. i am glad we have a pack of instant noodles on top of our fridge. i immediately cooked it for myself and ate it!

When I was pregnant, I wanted to eat ramen whenever I watched Naruto. I don't know if it was just the pregnancy cravings or because of the show, but I craved BAD during those months.

phew, that was a yes from me too.. Long before, it never came up to my mind the idea that i would be eating this kind of raw foods like sushi, etc..but now, after being addicted to animes, i started looking for Japanese foods!! maybe because those animes made a big impact on me especially their foods(yum!) and more, i became addicted to everything Japanese, not just the foods..but also Japanese places, fashion, and everything about it..!!!haha..!! just love it.. =)

I watch a lot of anime, but the only time a fell like eating is when its eating time.
I have never eat japonese but one day I will probably give it a shot. Not because of anime, but because I like to taste different types of food. And if by chance it happens to be ramen, I will remember naruto!

I have to admit that I'm a really easily influenced person, lol, but I guess that since I don't buy the food for my household I never got into the practice of wanting to eat things that I saw when I was heavily into anime. I did, however, get so into it that I wanted to learn the language, and since I was mostly listening to the shows in Japanese with english subtitles, I did end up learning a few odd words here and there, which I was proud of, simply because I was doing it for my own pleasure and it didn't feel like work, and it was something that I really wanted to do. i also got into making AMV's, anime music videos. Pretty much anything to do with anime, I was into. I did see at least part of an episode of Cooking Master Boy, too, but I didn't get further than that, even though it looked good! I just never thought about eating the food ^_^

Ok, ok, I will admit it, I sometimes do tend to have a craving for Chinese and Japanese food once I watch an anime and I end up eating anything in fridge! or I may go to some Chinese or Japanese restaurant and have a good meal there. But like I said it is just sometimes when I am hungry and watching an anime, maybe it has the psychology in action :)

I do sometimes. Whenever I watch Onegai! Sensei I have this weird craving for Pocky sticks. I can get those easily but it'll tempt me for overeating it. And when I watch Pinoko (in Black Jack) eating parfait ice cream, I'd just have to have an ice cream too. This is driving me nuts. I'd better make sure I'm full while watching one of those..

hahaha! watching anime really made me interested with everything about Japanese! i tried eating sushi but i just cant take it! its too raw for meeee! and i started eating noodles too! above of it all, watching anime especially sailormoon made me want to eat breakfast while hurrying up to school. but too bad, its not my habit to be late so i eat up at home anyway. ^__^

Not really. Those foods don't seem to be tasty for me in their anime form anyway. Lol.
