Yes, I have seen it a few times. If I had a piano, my cat would do it for sure. Some cats are very bright and will try all sorts of things that we never thought they could do. Some even speak sounds. I also saw a cat painting, by dipping it's paw in the paint and touching the paper. Then always amaze me.

Yes I did see that. I was so surprised, because this cat was intent like he was studying the keys. I have known lots of cats that will walk across the keys several times when they realize they make sound. But this one was awesome! The cats name is nora, here it is http://www.pianoworld.com/piano-playing-cat.html

I think cats are musical creatures. I used to have a piano, and my cat used to love to walk the keys.
I don't have a piano anymore, but I have some wind chimes that are hanging in the house. One of my cats like to play the wind chimes. She sits near the wind chimes and then pats them to get them to ring. This is something that she taught herself and she does regularly.

My wife is a piano-player and when she plays our three cats use to listen the music and seems that they like it. They like, sometimes, to jump on the keys but I never see they trying to play. I'll try to learn them to play!

I did not see it. Cats are smart. I had a cat and He was an out side cat. When he wanted to come in, he would run in and act just like he fainted. he was so funny. He just wanted to come in for a whild.

That sounds very nice and quite entertaining, but would someone really consider this piano playing? When one says piano playing, I expect that one is talking about playing an actual piece on the piano. Although it's very cute to hear about cats playing around the piano, it is merely tinkering around with it. The cat probably has not idea what it is doing. I don't really it's something you TEACH to a cat.
