shopster SAT stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test. Basically, it is a test that most college-cound students have to take. It is a standardized test. It consists of math, reading, and writing. Most students take the SAT in the junior year of high school.

shopster The SAT is widely used because it is the only common indicator of so-called "ability" among students. Grades aren't enough - some teachers are easy graders while others are harsh. By taking the SAT, colleges can actually compare you to other students.

shopster Well, this is a very commercial nation. One cannot expect anything better than ads everywhere. I'm afraid it can't be stopped. Look everywhere, if you don't see name brands, you'll see advertisements on all sorts of clothings and items.
