do you let your girls wear short tops and short skirts or shorts. what about things on little girls. do you let your boys wear baggy pants that fall off or sayings on shirt that are inapropriate. my daughter is only 3 so i pick out her clothes and she has no say in it and i would bever let her wear clothes that were inapropriate and showed too much skin. i'd be scared of someone taking advantage of her for showing so much.

I really hate seeing little girls in clothes that would be considered sexy in adults. I think its totally inappropriate. I do let my daughter pick out a few of her clothes, but I only let her buy things that I think are suitable for her. When it comes to dressing herself she doesn't have much of an idea of co-ordination so I let her dress herself if she isn't going anywhere special. She is 5 by the way. My 2 year old gets no choice at all.

My oldest sone is 7 so he's just starting to want to choose what he wears but he's not really bothered. I will encourage him to choose clothes when I buy new ones but most the time he can't be bothered so I just find a couple of things I like and ask which he likes out of them. I don't let him wear anything with inappropriate language or anything on it and I hate to see little girls dressing like they're teenagers. I don't have any girls so I won't have that problem. Once my boys are old enough to earn their own money and buy their own clothes then they can have complete freedom but until then, I will still guide them a lot.

My daughter is sixteen and I still guide her to her clothes. I try not to tell her what to wear however, there have been times when I have refused to let her out of my home until she changed clothes. I am very open minded but I do have my limitations. My girlfriend has a boy and he likes to wear his pants down around his ankles. I refuse to let him in my home unless he pulls up his pants. Well he is now sixteen and he is still wearing those baggin pants but everytime he comes to my door he pulls up those pants before asking to come in. That is respect.
