If I had a teen she came to me with that question I would simply say no end of discussion. No child of mine will be putting holes in their body as long as Im around.

LOL.My step daughter was ten when she asked if she could get her ear pierced. She camr home the next day with a bandage on her ear.Seems her friend decided to help her pierce her ear with a hammer and nail.Made me realize that it was not worth sweating the small stuff. If they want it done, they find a way to do it.Boundaries are important, but pick your fights (just a figure of speach).

Oh, my God! LOL A hammer and nail, yet! At least in my time, most of the kids foolish enough to try that still had sense enough to use a needle! @__@

I would absolutely let her. But it would depend on her schooling and how mature she was. I was 16 when I got mine done, and I see nothing wrong with it. I didn't do it to rebel or be different, I did it because I liked it. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say no, when I myself did it. But again it depends on the maturity of the child.

I have my tongue pierce but I did it when I was 22 years old (3 years ago, almost 4). I don,t know if I'M gonna still wear it when I'M gonna have children and when they are going to be teenager. I propably let my teenager do it but not at 12 or 13. at 16 they are mature enough to have it. I will go with it and choose the right person to do it.

That'd be really an awkward situation cuz i love doing such stuff but i would definitely hate it if my son or daughter does it.Sounds selfish?LOL

well i would give the kid the advice not to go ahead but at the end of the day..if the kid wants to rebel it will do it..i would ggather as much infom on it as possible..let the teenager go through it and then it might evaluate it..i have a son who isn't interested in those kind of things..he has gone a bit gothic and likes wearing black..so i make a few allowances..that is why he hasn't gone extreme..if i had said no to gothic completely..he would have gone totally into the black nails and lippy thing..i did let him paint his nails once for fun at my sis's house..that made him get rid of that curiosity and never bothered again..but he likes his bakc tees and trousers..hope this helps..

Personally, I think tongue piercings are disgusting. They're creepy and look nasty. Anyhow, I would probably let them, its their body, after all. I think that it would come down to their behavior, age, etc more, though.
