I think everyone should know how to cook. Its great fun anyway, but also good to help you survive. If you are ever on your own you need to be able to cook for yourself. It would be terrible to grow old never being able to cook and not be able to look after yourself once your partner isn't with you any more.

on the lighter side , for a change it would serve men right if they turn in to cooks in the housde and manage a carreer as well. FOr a century now women have been doing both and cooking has been a woman's domain for generations now so better things take a totally oppsite direction and men start doing the cooking.
Seriously however I feel now both shopuld know cooking as we are increasingly moving towards both partenrs working full time and nuclear families are the call of the day so its better if both kow how to cook so that one can take over if other is late or not well.

Some people cook, and shouldn't. Some know how to cook, and don't. Some ought to know how, and don't.
Realistically, not being able to cook means you and your budget are at the mercy of whatever anyone's prepared to charge you for the privilege of eating. I think everyone should learn.

I feel that both boys and girls should be taught to cook . In order to live you have to eat so you should know the basis of how to cook for sure . You can't rely on someone else to make you something to eat all your life and for this reason I feel that no matter who you are you should be able to do this .
