When will the Simpsons grow up? - Literally

I've been a huge fan of The Simpsons for a long time now..but sometimes I ask myself when will they grow up literally?! Like the Rugrats...from diaper babies to toddlers. And when will they allow Maggie to talk?! LOL I remember one episode where Bart saw the future....dang it was horrible because the "Maggie" in the future was Maggie's daughter....hell even in the future we didn't hear her speak a whole sentence!

I agree here. They definately shouldn't grow up. It just wouldn't be the same. I wouldn't want to watch Homer all old and stuff. He is my favorite character and he doesn't need to get any older.

I love The Simpsons too! I don't think they will let them 'grow up' as Bart would now be about 25 now if they had followed him growing up and I guess that would stop him doing his childish pranks. Whenever they show Bart in the future he always looks geekish lol - No we shouldn't let them grow up! (And neither should we for that matter! lol)

Thanks for the response! You're right, he wouldn't be much of a prankster if he's older! But it just makes me wonder about the older Maggie. lol Like would she be like Lisa or Bart or really different? lol yup no growing old for all of us!

I think it is fun that the Simpsons never age. I did see one episode where Maggie was a teen. I remember her talking LOADS on the phone. What I can't remember is if I really saw her talking or just that they implied it. Hhhmmmm?
