I just heard about this ear stapling to either stop smoking or to lose weight. I went into their office to see what it was about and I guess you get little round metal things stapled on your ear and it helps with these things. It costs $75 for one or $85 for both. They look like little hoop earrings and the lady says it feel like getting your ears pierced but I am still puzzled by it. Has anyone else heard of it or had it done?

I have never heard of eye stapling. How is that supposed to make you quit smoking or lose weight. I have heard about laser treatments to lose weight and stop smoking and that they really work. Well I guess we will just have to see if this actually works.

What is laser treatments and how do they work? I guess with the stapling there is a nerve in your ear that controls certain emotions or responses is probably a better word. I know my doctor told me about accupuncture to do the same thing so I assume it is along the same line as that.

Laser treatment is about a 20 minute treatment. They say they use a cold laser. Not postive what that means, but I have a friend who had the treatment to quit smoking and it worked. They haven't smoked since the treatment. You can also go back for an additional treatment if you feel the urge to smoke for free. It sounds like a great thing.

No, I'd never heard of this either. It sounds a bit strange. I wonder if it's supposed to simulate accupressure...I've heard pressure on special points can help with nausea and things like that.
