Yeah.Sometimes anger bring you to the extend that you no longer know who exactly you are. That's good that you quit that bad habit. It just do you more harm than good.

When you are feeling angry then its best to go for an amusing film, espectilly those films having stories dealing with adventures or mysteries. It works because your stress is automatically released during watching such movies. Comedy film would be also best but unfortunately comedies are very few than action movies.

Ever since childhood, I can count the number of times I got angry on one hand. But then if I really mean that I would be lying. Ofcouse I do feel angry when anything goes wrong, or something or someone does something which I really don't like. But I never show my anger. I never shout, or glare, or react at all. I just focus on my anger and gets exasperated at the state of anger instead. I know the feeling of anger, blood suddenly rises to your head and it first hit you hard and fills you up with boiled blood.
At that time, I would hold my breath ( which is not noticeable by others ) and concentrate on the blood flow around the cranial area. At that time I would really like to shout to the other person which I am angry at, but I would not, merely because I know the futility of it before the word escapes my mouth. At most, I may just shake my neck.

I don't usually get angry but when I am, I don't talk to anyone. Sometimes, I lock myself in the room and let myself cool down. Sometimes, I just walk with all the angry thoughts inside my head. They say it's bad to be that way, but what can I do? I'm angry!

When I'm angry i usually rant or talk to my boyfriend or my bestfriend. After ranting I would feel a bit better especially when by boyfriend or bestfriend remind me to calm down.
Usually my boyfriend would tell me to just be cool or else I'll get frown lines or wrinkles on my face. Then he would try to make me smile or laugh...my anger would melt after a while...

I used to have a lot of trouble controlling my temper and I used to throw things around during my temper outbursts. I have shattered a wrist watch by banging my wrist on the wall and I have thrown pens, pencils and other articles around, but now I'm a changed man. I now channelize my anger and take it out in a productive manner. For example? Washing clothes! When somebody really ticks me off, I lock myself in the bathroom with a whole pile of dirty laundry and just let go! By the time my anger is spent, I'm usually dog-tired, but all my clothes are spotlessly clean. This also makes me feel good about myself. I also clean out the clutter from my table and throw out a lot of unwanted junk. This helps me in a way to clear my head as it's kind of symbolic. It works for me everytime! I never get frustrated like I used to earlier and I have never thrown anything around in years now!

when i am annoyed or mad, i will take a deep breath many times and try to stay away from people because i may get to say bad things out of anger when i dont.

I wish I could just think about the beautiful things in my life but instead I get very very tense to the point my body aches, my head feels like it might explode at any second, I start to clean like I am on a mission...stuff flying everywhere...slaming stuff down when I could have put it away easier. I yell at anyone who will listen and my dogs. This can go on for 5 minutes or over an hour. By the end I usually am so worn out from the cleaning and my body hurting that I just sit and cry. To make it worse the rest of the day or week (depending on how bad it was) I feel guilty for being angry and acting like an idiot so I over eat because I am depressed.
Well that is what I do...I am glad that you have gotten your anger under control.

I've chosen to change my life from being an angry person to being a forgiving one. That's not easy, but it's a choice. Forgiveness isn't saying that they other person is right. Forgiveness is saying that God is just and he will do what is right.
