When you see a good receipe, don't be afraid to alter it a little to your own personal taste buds. That's how new and good receipes are started. I have posted many that I changed to my family's tastes. If you want more, something special, let me know.I will try to help. I have been cookig and baking so many years, and have so many saved that we love. I try to post different ones that you don't see all the time. Thank y'all for your comments about them. I appreciate it. Blessings, M&M

I will look for one to post for you. Altitude changes a receipe too. Also, make sure your temp. is preheated in your oven, and the cake is on the middle shelf. I'll go check for one now.

I have my "margieanne" cookbook and I am loving it. Some things are new and others are twists on old favorites. I really appreciate the "quickies" lol.

You are so sweet. I 'm thrilled that you are enjoying these. I like the quick ones too. I'm not into too complicated with lots of ing.

My husbands's comment:"good cooks know that a recipe is only a guideline." We improvise often. I have found some of yours that will be a welcome new twist.

I'm always altering recipes. I like to make healthier versions of recipes or alter them according to what ingredients I have on hand.

You have posted some great recipes and not all of them have appealed to my taste bud, but quite a lot of them have. The ones I really liked were the bread recipes, soups and deserts. I have changed a few of them and they were really nice, but I wouldn't have had the courage to do this unless I had read your recipe first. A big thank you from all my family, especially for the bread.

I tried to give a variety of receipes, as so many people are around the world with different likes and such. I am happy you liked the breads. I will try to post more breads, soups, and deserts.

I have to say that you have come up with some interesting ideas. I am not a great cook or baker, but I would sure like to come over to your restuarant and try a few goodies. lol. You certainly have a marvelous imagination for food preparation.

I usually try to stick with the recipe the first time - unless there is something I don't like in it.... - just to see how the recipe is on it's own. The next time that I make it, I make adjustments as I feel are needed. =)

Thanks. To my shame I could never bake a cake from scratch, my daughter even baked her own birthday cake when she was 12 years old as mine were such a disaster. Lopped sided and I was alway trying to hide my failures by propping them up with icing or dolloping ice cream on them but I am a good cook.

I like doing that too. Altering my recipes and making them more personal. I even do this while baking, but one has to keep in mind that baking is a science and they have to remember what needs to be put in for what they want put out.
