I am a Christian and I know that the only way to heaven and salvation is Jesus Christ.
But then it is not out of our knowledge that people belong to different religions and believe in different Gods, let's put the religion issue aside, and if you are asked, like a buddhist believes in Buddha and not Jesus but they believe in a Supreme being that they think is their God, are they better than the atheist that does not have any God at all?
Is it better to believe in a Supreme being than not believe any at all? What is your thought regarding this?

Its better to believe in God. Not just an unknown supreme being but for me, God alone. Yes, Jesus Christ to me is our way to salvation. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you also believe the bible. The bible says it all.
I think its best for atheist to believe in God now than wait for something that may be too late for them.
The whole world, the universe and all living organisms and humans are all perfect. I believe there is God and God made them. I cant imagine all things being just an accident in their existence. Perfect to be just an accident. There's God. I strongly believe. Your conscience will tell you.

Hi Smints, I do agree that believing in a Supreme Being is better than believing none. The whole point is the aim of our life and our work is grounded in what we believe. If we can believe in God, who created us then we tend to move in the direction of pleasing that God and also when nothing helps, when all our attempts fail then we can draw strength from God. I remember an analogy: Imagine that you are all alone on a stormy sea, ship wrecked, and you don't know how to swim, you have got a small wooden plank to hold on to, and at this time, the one person you would like to think on and hope that would help would be God. Even some one is an atheist, at that point of time they might want to live and they might want to trust in someone called God, I think.
