Do you think this ebay seller was rude?

I recently bought an item for $15.98 incl postage. When I made the payment I made a mistake and only paid $15.89.
I got an abusive email from the seller saying that I was trying to rip her off and she would not be sending the item until I paid the extra amount - a whole 9 cents. I did this very quickly as it was an honest mistake.
To add insult to injury when I got the item it only cost her $1 to post and she then left negative feedback saying I had tried to cheat her.
I think she acted like a total cow.

Leave negative feedback.
I can't believe how rude some people are on Enay these days.
I have an Ebayer who is extremely rude and sends my nasty emails each day. I just ignore him now.
Last time I left negative feedback, my auctions kept getting ruined. By that guy and his mates.

For 9 cents? yes, that's rude. Good for you to leave the negative feedback. Did she reply to your feedback saying you are bad buyer? I had people did that to me when I was a buyer. I bought 4 items on auction, 3 were good, 1 was bad. I left 3 positive feedback and 1 negative. The seller left me negative feedback saying I was dishonest. I told Ebay and they put a note on this seller's account so next time it happens again, this seller's account will be deleted

A true idiot. At least you know never to bid on any her stuff again. I hope you did feedback and gave a short explanation. They don't give you too much space for feedback, but I usually manage to say what needs to be said.

Wow what a B*#@& !!! Some people, I tell you, She probably acted that way, because it's something she would have done... Had she been a normal honest person, she would have caught the honest mistake, and left you a friendly reminder, I love ebay, but have had both good, and bad experiences on there. Just keep smiling and know she'll get hers..What goes around, comes around...

There was no reason for her to act this way. Anyone could have made this mistake. I can't believe she didn't just say to forget the 9 cents!! What a waste of time paypalling someone 9 cents!!
I have had pretty good experiences with ebay so far.. it stinks you had to deal with a seller like that.

People are amazing sometimes. Whatever happened to common courtesy? We dealt with a guy that we bought a $400 item from and he wouldn't even respond to emails; and when he finally did, it was totally rude - not even answering the simple question. I can't believe that the lady gave you a neg rating for that. 9 cents - jeez...

I don't believe there is any excuse for rudeness - some eBayers get carried away.
Firstly - if the email was abusive then i would report it to eBay so they can investigate it. Under the terms and conditions you are prohibited from abusing other members!
You didn't say how much you were expecting the postage to be so for all i know it was supposed to be a dollar.
The seller shouldn't have left negative feedback and they shouldn't have got upset over 9c. Obviously you got a bargain and they wanted to make more money off it and therefore you got the result of their anger.
If you haven't done so - I'd reply to their negative in your feedback explaining that this is all over 9c. I personally would give them a negative back simply for the fact of the abusive email.
If you ever get stuck on what to do in a situation like this then head on over to the forum boards at ebay [under help] and post your question there. I've always found it post helpful and people get back to you really fast.

not only was this ebay user rude, but 80 percent of all ebay users are exactly the same way, its what makes ebay so crappy to deal with, i used to sell on ebay all the time, but the people on their are just looking for a fight, its sad really.

Well, i used to sell and buy things on ebay too. It was a normal mistake and the seller has no excuse for that reaction and action for the negative feedback!
She was really stupid! Probably you won't buy anything else from her again!

I sell on Ebay and that person sounds like they were out of line. If that happened to me I may or may not have for the extra money. If you paid me by Pay Pal that extra 9 cents would have cost me 30 cents plus 5%. It would aslo depend on if I was making a profit or not on the item.
I'm not sure hat the 41 posting has to do with it. unless you are saying you were charged a lot for postage and it only took 41 to ship out. Some sellers include extra for the handling part of the shipping AND handling. I know I do sometimes. it depends on how much work i have to do to ship it out.

Yep I think she acted horribly. I mean if you were trying to cheat her you certainly would have made the difference more than ten cents, which is clearly just putting the didgts in wrong.
It is true that there are many eBay sellers and buyers who are totally rude. I try very hard to give great customer service. I think many people forget about that because they are selling on the internet, and aren't seeing the faces or hearing the voices of the customers.
If you really feel that the seller verbally abused you, you should definately let eBay know about it. I mean this is just rediculous.
I think eBay has serious issues with the feedback system and too much importance is placed on it. You could deal with eBay and possibly get the feedback removed from your profile. I know they do that for certain things, but I am not sure what. I would try that if it were me, because I would be pissed about a negative because of this situation ruining my 100% positive rating.

I personally think retaliatory feedback is wrong, but in this case it sounds warranted. How unreasonable of a seller to leave a negative feedback over .09. What's the rest of her feedback like? Would you message me their user name? I don't want to buy anything from someone like this!
