I don't really get what My Lots is trying to prove here.
They cant want quality. Today I was reading a discussion of someone who wanted to know if people had pooped when they gave birth. She went on to give the details of her birth and then others responded how they had pooped.
Now I don't know about you but do you really want to know about how that occured along with the others that chimed in about how they pooped and farted when giving birth.
Too much information. So i looked at some of the other discussions this girl had under her belt that she was getting paid for. Urr pardon me. She was discussing her menstrual cycle and other problems she has had and is having.
So today I was looking through discussions on my lunch hour trying to pick some useful ones out to comment on. Lo and behold I come on one that wants to know if I take my clothes out of the dryer right away or do I leave them in there. Then she goes on to say how she folds her skirts and how she probably should break it up in to three different discussions but she herself admits that would be redundant. Pardon me , but isnt the whole topic redundant or is it just me.? This was in the top discussions.
How much can you respond to how you take your clothes out of the dryer and how you fold your skirts. For petes sakes
I know there are people on here that need money but cant they think of things that are going on in the world.
Then there are the shock ones. Most if not all of them are probably made up. You are sure to get some hits from the bleeding hearts if you say. " I think I will slice open my neck today" or I have just come to say my Goodbye. I want to thank all my friends who have been here for me. I think I will jump off a brdge today. Of course if you put enough remarks on my discussion I just might stay around.
If they are going to continue to let these people write the stupid questions then I think they should open up a category for it. The stupid question category. The most embarrasing momnent category. Things that you would not tell your best friend but you will tell everyone that reads the discussions here.
The thing that really bothered me about the pooping when giving birth was not the actual pooping and farting that the people all chimed in with BUT, there are girls on here, young girls that have not had babies. One of them was afraid to have a baby and probably this was the kicker for her.
I just dont think it is right to scrare people that havent had kids. I have , but if I thought I was going to crap and fart all over the doctor I probably would be motherless now.
And by the way, for those of you reading this not everyone poops , pees or farts all over the doctor. So it isnt anything you should consider when you are having your baby.
Most people would not dream of starting a discussion and telling the world this. However there seem to be some here that will write most anything. No matter how humiliating to get a few hits on their discussion.

Personally, other than the topics of how you fold your laundry and whatnot, I think the topics of what happens during childbirth, no matter how graphic, are perfectly legitimate topics to discuss. Maybe not everyone wants to hear about the less than beautiful parts of childbirth, but then again, no one's forcing them to read it. And people that are immature enough to not want to have a baby just because they read somewhere that someone went to the bathroom on their doctor, probably shouldn't be having a baby to begin with because there are far grosser aspects to raising children than a little feces on a doctor! And I don't think it's humiliating to write a discussion on childbirth, it's a fact of life and if people are willing to share their experiences more power to them.

Well I don't really think you are qualified anymore then I am to say who is mature enough on here to have a baby. The person that I am taking about was not discussing the childbirth experience. She was discussing only how may people out here pooped when they were having a baby and only that. So it was not the childbirth experience at all.
Now if her had written a discussion on childbirth that would have been something else.
You seem to have missed the whole concept of this discussion. So maybe you should not skip between the lines and interject your thoughts on this discussion.

I have to agree. It has gotten on my nerves lately, that there are some discussions circulating that shouldn't be. I believe that the reason this happens, is because when people rate it positive, or a few friends, or interested individuals respond, it reaches the top discussions list for the day. I have seen so many more, that have really gotten to me, but I just ignore them. Also, sometimes, I am very surprised when I see that a person has about 6 discussions in the top list, when they are not even that great. This tells me, that there are a group putting up front when it does not belong there. I hope that if we all begin to really consider what we want to write about, then there will be quality versus the quantity going on.

Thanks for Best response. You know, sometimes, I might have a discussion that is similar to someone else's, and I get frustrated because I had searched through the discussion list, and not found anything, and then, all of a sudden there are a bunch like me. However, I have noticed that a lot of people are totally asking the same questions, without searching to see if anyone has written the same topic already. It is just another problem we have going on here.

Your welcome and I think sometimes that is by accident. I know I have started discussions when I had a particular idea and then noticed there were other discussions. A lot of the time they are months old. But I don't like it when people that have no ideas of their own steal your discussions and I do see a lot of it. Thank you for your comment.

I have noticed the same thing to. It is getting pretty hard some days to find anything that is true and not some ridiculous shock story to respond to.
Thank you for your comment.

Well if I was pregnant and about to have a baby, I would have been interested in the discussion about whether the people pooped when they had their baby. Although you weren't interested in that topic, apparently, others were since she got responses. I think the key thing to keep in mine on MyLot is that if you don't like the topic...just don't read and respond. Move on to another discussion. Because I don't like topics on certain things..but I don't tell them that their discussions are useless...I simply don't read or respond to them.

I dont think you would have. The discussion wasnt about child birth so muych as it was about pooping, farting and other embarrasing things. My point is , it is getting harder and harder to find a decent discussion to respond to. I quickly glanced to see what tpe of discussions you write and yours look quite decent.
Thank you for responding.

Wow, I did not see any of those discussions and I feel ahppy that I did not.
You are right, some of the questions are stupid, useless, inane or should just not be posted in public and maybe they should have a catergory for questions like that. That is why I use the friends list of discussions for my questions, I do venture out but now before I accept friends, I look at their questions.
'Do you think this girl is hot?' is not a valid question.
Maybe these questions will be removed by mylot if people report them. I am not even sure how you report abuse on here, but I would sure give the question a - if I saw it.

I really dont think that they care to tell you the truth.
I was at work and I am not even going to try and get anyone else to join . I mean what do you think they will think when they see this crap.
I use to write for another site. It paid really good money till people like some of the people here ruined it for everyone else. Now they hardly pay anything. But they do pay.
Some of these people seem to not have any thoughts of their own. Kind of sad.

I dont know if it has anything to do with age groups. I was whatever age they are and I can tell you people with any kind of class at all DO NOT talk like this.
I have been thinking about it and that is what it boils down to. They talk like a bunch of White Trash from the hills or something. Maybe they are hillbillies.

i am not sure i agree, some people are ok talking about this and they could of been trying to start a good discussion. i know my sister in law did this and she asked everyone cuz she wondered if she was the only person that had ever done it. yes its a strange topic of discussion but its a discussion some people have. i don't think its to bug anyone or whatnot but just a discussion they are wondering about. there are really people out there like this its part of life. as far as the kids that are so grossed out by this and are afraid of having kids now well maybe thats a good thing. if they can't handle a little poop they they are in no way ready for kids.

It has nothing to do with handling a little poop. It is a little word called class. These people have no class and it is pretty disturbing and disgusting to people that do. To think that people come on here to read and discuss things and this is what is out there. White trash talk.
The discussion was not even about childbirth or the childbirth process. It was a discussion simply of crapping and farting on the doctor. And then of course some of the other Low class white trash came along and relayed their experience. If you want to encourage these kind of discussions then that kind of shows which side of the track you are on regarding this discussion. I think that you are in the minority here and that to me is a good thing,

I agree whoever would start up a discussion like that needs to get out of the house, away from the computer, get a job and keep their mouth shut. Because I can assure you if they talk like that in public or in the workplace they will be without friends or a job. These type of people are nitwits who need to talk to a shrink.. Maybe thats what they are saving the money they earn from these discussions...........

I noticed that some people are more comfortable putting down their thoughts and ideas here at mylot. And maybe they prefer to discuss into details of what they posted. Maybe they like the mylot members to fully comprehend what they are posting. But the part that says to keep giving response so that they will not jump off the bridge is nothing funny at all. It is a sick sense of humour. We don't have any control whatsoever with this kind of people. If they enjoy doing it, so be it. Happy posting.

I guess whatever floats your boat.I guess you have to do like I do and go back over what they have written in the past to get a good sense of what is real and what is for shock value.

I didn't see any of these discussions and I'm thinking I'm better off for not having done so.
It's a little sad to see what some people will write about in order to try and earn money - but just as bad are the ones that actually respond to those discussions, because forgive me if I'm wrong, but don't you get paid more if people respond to a discussion that you started?
Honestly, if you're going to start discussions at least make it something that we all can share in without feeling a little nauseated. I tend not to post many discussions, mainly because I have not a whole lot of anything interesting to say lol. I much prefer responding to others, and I'm certain had I seen these particular posts that I wouldn't have responded.

I agree with everything you have said. I dont know what the formula is here for getting paid. I do know that there are people that will do and say anything to get a penny and they seem to be settling in quite nicely here.
Thank you for your comment.
