What is your favorite art medium?

I've dabbled in most mediums, ie., pencil, paint, oil pastels. I've most recently begun using soft pastels which seem to be a good all around medium.
From my own experience, I've found that drawing skills aren't as important with pastels because they tend to enhance the drawing. They seem to lend better control for the brush-shy artist (blush) than a brush, or a pencil, and because they're opaque and so blendable they're very forgiving. Its working with color and composition, as with a painting, while honing those skills, which I can transfer to the brush when I'm ready.
And, I simply find pastel paintings to be eye pleasing.

I like and use watercolor paint the best. I also love silhouette/scherenschnitte cutting with a scissor. That's my favorite. Look at my website: www.mgcreativearts.com
