i have 2 alarm clocks around me aside from my celfon. when one of them rings, i just 'knock it off" and i go to sleep again.unfortunately i find it difficult to rise earlier. i am determined to wake up early now. can you suggest ways, practices or food that i should eat?

I find that if I have a lot to fill my day and am looking forward to it, I get up as soon as the alarm goes off full of enthusiam for my day.
If I have nothing to get up for my alarm doesn't get me out of bed.

well its difficult for me too to get up early..but i realised that i was sleeping very late in the night and expecting to get up early...
But now i have learnt a technique to learn to train my mind...so just before going to sleep i do breathing exercise and then simply put a suggestion in mind that "I wake up at 6 (or whatever time u wnat to get up) in the morning feeling fresh & energetic"..n trust me i dont need alarm clock at all...
My MIND plays a role of alarm clock...
this has helped me...hope it helps you too

I don't like the alarm clock, I don't like the waking up and rise and shine thing.
But I'm guessing it's because of my diet. I eat too much sugar and it does make me feel lethargic.
Things that don't help too is eating too late at night, or just before going to bed. If you are digesting food all night while asleep you don't get enough rest.
Also make sure your bedroom is clean, seriously it doesn't help if you room feels heavy, you can wake up feeling heavy.

we have the same problem. i too have a hard time waking up early. i set my alarm at a specific time, but when it rings, i just turn it off and go back to sleep. i keep thinking "5 more minutes", and that 5mins will soon turn out to be 30 minutes. sometimes, i reset the alarm everytime it rings, so that in one morning, my alarm will ring at least 3 times. lol
they say to wake up early, i also have to sleep early. but the problem is i'm used to sleep at 12mn or 1am. eventhough i go to bed early like 9-10pm, but still i can't sleep and i just keep on moving around my bed. sometimes i think this is an illness, but i hope not.:(
maybe for you it's a different thing. maybe if you sleep early, you can wake up early too. and another thing i'll suggest is before you sleep at night, keep thinking about waking up early. if you have to wake up at 6am, keep thinking "i have to wake up at 6am! i have to wake up at 6am!". i know it sounds funny, but always believe in the power of the mind to rule over your body.

Yes, it's hard for me to wake up so early but if i have an important meeting even though i'm still sleepy i have to fix myself especially when cold temperature takes place... If you really want to wake up early maybe you should sleep early too if you can't just keep in mind that you have some things to do that you need to woke up if the alarm sounds on..
