This is an open invitation to all..
If you think you are intelligent, smart, correct at most times, then why are you here? Is this the place you think you should be? Do you think this is place is where you deserve you should be? if so, can you explain why? If not, then why also?
I am just curious, because most of us here would give reasons/opinions to which we think are right. But do we have basis on these things that we say, are we always speaking for the truth? Don't you think that you should be working on a lush office and just sign papers with your funny signatures on it, and more much than what you are earning here? =)
Just a thought, explanations and views are more welcome. But PLEASE, do not mess my post.. Thanks

Raijin are you getting bored...lol I wish I was sitting in my lush office. I'de be drinking diet coke and smoking my butts while signing my life away. But instead here I sit with my simple mind..spewing false information and bold opinions..hehe It's just so much fun, why would I want to be anyplace else..I love it here at mylot. Acutally I do love being here. While we can't all have the same opinions it's good to know what others think. I wish more people would be honest though. I do think there are alot of people that just like to provoke others with their nonsense...and that's not fun. Maybe it should be call "oddlot" instead of Mylot.... there are some really odd folks here. Great discussion...I wonder how it's going to go..probably someone is going to be riled up over it...heheh

Nah! I'm just looking for people here who knows how to appreciate others, just like yours to mine..
I do love here, but everytime I see people stepping on each others opinions. To which I come to think, why don't they just give each other a chance? What would it take us to to know how to accept each others beliefs, why do we insist to others things that they ignore all their life?
These are the things that's on my mind, thanks..

Every human being is intelligent. It's just the matter on where and how they apply it. Some of best minds can end up as criminals and some can end up in the top ladder of the corporate world. It's the paths we took that made us different from the others. Life is about choices, there is no wrong or right in the human eye. "Terrorists" believe they are right and the "Allies" believe they are right too so who is actually right then? Do we believe the Allies are right and intelligent because we are part of their team? Two people may be looking at the same object but that doesn't mean they have the same opinion nor feel the same way about it.

You've made a good explanation merkava. But I don't think we should take sides on these matter, I believe in what you are trying to say!;)
But the question was, why are intellects joined this site when they know they can earn much more if they look for a job that they more deserve..

I hope I do have a lush office, raijin. I am just a stay at home mother who wants to work using our pc. I don't know if I am intellegent enough and pass all the requirements needed but I post my ideas and opinions here based on relevant informations I get. I am not a perfect person and I do have mistakes sometimes especially on expressing myself using foreign language but I can learn that. It is still fun being here with friends than earning because I have a part time money making job now but I still see to it that I visit this site more often and post on my friends discussions. Kudos!

Thanks alice, you truly are indeed certified!;)
It's how we pass time and how we make with it is what makes us more intellect than others here, and I think intelligence is not measured of how many things that they've accomplished but by how they make good use of it..

well i can say that i am an intelligent student. so right now my most important job is to learn the most. it can be done only in sites like these, where different types of people or people of different brain levels meet and discuss about important things and mainly life related problems. they give us more knowledge than we can get in other places

not quite sure what you are saying, but i THINK you mean, why are smart people on here earning money instead of having a "real" job??
if that's the case, then i will tell you that i am at my "real" job and i do this when i don't have any pressing work. i used to do other Q&A sites, but didn't get paid for them, and then i found mylot and thought...what the heck! i might as well get paid for what i was already doing!
hope that clarifies for you.
take care.

Thanks joey!
Though I started this topic, my aim was to let all the folks here remember the goal of this site. The difference between the intellectuals and the opinion-minded people, the people who are after for good discussions, and the people whi are just here for the money and doesn't thinks of the responses/posts that they make.
I hope everyone would be aware now of who is who and who's for real here!;)

The mind wonders and for me its a great opportunity for me to write and express my wondering opinions and experiences. What better way than have discussions on a community board where people can openly reveal themselves and get paid a bit for doing so. I think its a wonderful idea to reward people for their contributions.

Oh how I wish I could do that raijin, sit in an office and work a regular 8 hour job everyday. sigh, its my helplessness which has me house arrested..lol I'm not an American, an immigrant from India so I don't have work authorization in this country. I wish I could put myself to better use but feel so helpless because nobody will employ me without a work permit. I've done MBA but its of no use here. Well that's life, can't do anything about it. But myLot is a good place, I am improving my writing and reading skills, making friends and to tell you its almost a full day regular job to me. So what the heck, let's make money..hehe I can't live by what I make here, but its something compared to having nothing at all:)

It's good to know that we still make good use of the life we have. Though we are limited to some opportunities, we still know how to make and find good use of our knowledge.
Which sometimes makes me think I'm more wiser than those who are working on large companies and firms!;)

This site is a great place to share ideas, have a rant and a good debate. People from all walks of life are here and I don't think I would have such a wide view on what people think if I didn't use this site. Although I do enjoy abit of banter and sarcasm along the way on some of the discussions.
The people who should just be signing their funny signatures are those who go onto a discussion and analyse the question instead of answering it. I don't see the point on being here if everytime someone comes up with an intellectual discussion they have to delve into why this was asked.
Either respond to the question or move along please.
I have learnt quite alot of new things here, my views have changed as well by reading some of the discussions, so this can be but a good thing for me.

Good to know than most of us do analyze it, but I still see others that don't do mess the discussions and I think it's better if we don't respond to it if we don't have anything good to say..
I prefer posting discussions about awareness and other things, I don't post rants and debates because I know that I cannot control some of my emotions sometimes. I bettet go post and play by the rules.

Well even intellectuals have free time and get bored sometimes. Not that I'm saying only bored people do mylot. But we're all here for a reason, some have unique reasons. Places like mylot can use a lot of intellectuals to start meaningful topics, not stupid topics to help make mylot a better site.

Sometimes you just have to go where the need is the greatest and not count the cost. Believe me, I've seen plenty of need for intellectual missionaries here ;)
Getting to sit in a plush office and all that may be nice, but then only other 'intellectuals' see your work. Little benefit. Spread it around. After all, fertilizer is of no use until its spread around.

LoL I see some here who are really just for the money, you'll see them by the way they post as to who are the intellects and the lesser ones. It's up to you to whom you'll think are just those for making more money, than making intellectual posts..
Very good explanation!;)

I certainly think that I could earn more money doing something else, but being on here is a great opportunity to make other poeple think about things in a different way.
Also as a stay at home mum I don't have a chance to go to work.

I do think I am intelligent, not to brag, ok I am bragging, I scored in the 99th percentile on the CAPP testing (critical thinking portion). I come here to pass time reading what other people think about relationships, what is going on in the world, parenting, and whatever other crazy posts I run into. I am not here to spread knowledge or anything. I am here to have fun!

I am intelligent - and an important part of showing intelligence is to form your own opinions and be open-minded.
Online, one thing that bugs me is when people call something a scam. This is usually a sign of low intelligence. It is because they don't understand something. It might also be laziness as they never bothered to figure it out.
I earn money online through various means. But the only way for me to work out how things are working, how schemes and people are working online to earn money is to become active in them for myself. From everything I join or am part of, I can then individually evaluate its worth to me and my goal.
I learn from every experience. One day the sum of my experiences, plus a eureka moment - along with sufficient resources to follow up my eureka moment - will take me to the financial independence I am looking for.
I remember that every journey starts with a single step and that to get to your destination you have to keep taking single steps.
So I evaluate, test and research many things every day. Each day takes me further to my destination.
I am achieving. I see mylot as a way to earn money making friends. I look here for inspiration; I see what others are doing. But mainly I use it to try to add some valuable postings to worthwhile threads.
The things that I find are most profitable, or have a valid place in earning money online, I place on my work from home jobs website (see my profile). While my website does give regular listings of real work from home jobs for employers - there are others out there looking for other solutions as they don't have the skills/experience that the employers are looking for - or they need to build up confidence before applying for those, perhaps confidence in using the Internet. So these other ways to earn money online are posted there for those people.
Good luck with your responses from others, but I hope I have explained the worth of mylot to me.
Happy work from home job hunting!

You did made very long and meaningful explanation.
I know can see the importance to all of the questions I had made, the main purpose of why we are all here and the goals that we hope to achieve. The relevance of being a responsible online worker..

i work in the office and earn well. i also work from home and am part of MLM. i still am left with lots of spare time so i post responses on mylot. mylot has become an addiction for lots of its members and its not because it has caffiene or nicotine in it.there must be some reason. isn't optimising your time for more financial and emotional gains, is acting intelligently???

I dont' think I'm so intelligent because I think I've still a lot of things to learn. If I give an opinion I give it on my experience concerning my person and I don't consider it as a law or as a right thing. It's just my opinion and I don't try to inculcate it to the people. If someone is according with my opinion ok,but if someone has another or different opinion than mine this is not the end of the world!!!The intelligent people is a person who accepts differents points of view taking them an experience baggage and creating on them a base for a civil comparision.I think that is also the fine of this site.
The earnings on this site for me are very low,so the reason that I'm writing here now is only to increase my cultural baggage meeting deifferent people who speak and think different from me!
Thanks for this interesting question!

how about there is no should, we simply do or do not. i choose not to should on myself. should is a great way to invoke feelings of guilt and a great way to place judgements on others. so no shoulds. how is this one, there
is no right or wrong, perhaps just appropriate and inappropriate. who am i to place judgements on others and correct their morals. i gave that up a long time ago.
