Do you hate your name?

I do sometimes because they my playmates often tease me a "tomato" when we were young and maybe I just envy those one that have especial names given by their parents and it really sounds good. I live with it for 23 years so I guess I have to live with it for the next years of my life instead of changing it to other name. I know there are a lot of first names that really sounds funny than me and I wonder how they deal with it. How about you do you hate or like your name?

Alice hmmp sounds nice to me lol!!
Kidding aside there is a law now in our country that you can change your name as long as you complied all the necessary legal documents that was required to change it and be at last free of your name but the disadvantage of it is you will do some major changes in your all Identification cards.
As for my name maribel sounds nice mom really love maribela aunor before that was the cousing of nora aunor (lucky I was not named nora ha!ha!ha!) who is a good singer too that's why she gave me a name after her.

Actually my name is Marites and they often tease me "kamatis" in our own dialect which means tomato, hahaha. Since I think you're a filipino too so I guess you are very aware of it. You're lucky enough that you are not named nora, hahaha. I really don't think if I like Nora Aunor, hehehe.

I don't like my name that much, but I don't intend to change it also..
It will be just too strange..
My name is Svetlana (or Sveta for short). In English my name means "Light" (like of the sun).
When we came to israel people here tried to change my name to Ora, or Orit which also means light but in hebrew, but I said a big NO.

Hey it is your name. It is who you are and you have to embrace it. It's hard for people to laugh at you when you laugh with them then all of a sudden it is not so funny. Then you turn right around and express the true meaning of your name and the power in it. Even if you make it up you will turn that disrespect into respect. Holla!

i hate my name. my name is melody. so, everytime i introduce myself to someone and say "hi, my name is melody." they always say "oh, can you sing?" i just hate that

I love being called by my name.. I dont hate it.. In fact I am very thankful for my name.. Although some says that it it wrong spelled.. But it is very ok it makes me unique.. REGARDS

i really never liked my name---- my name is jean and my middle name is marie--- i was called jeannie and teased as jeannie weinie chilli beannie--- and when i was in my 20s they called me jumpin jean or norma jean---geez---the only people who like my name are old people becuase its such an old name---- now i'm aunt jean and it just sounds so old! i would like a differnet name---one person told me i look like a susie .... two people said i look like kelly or a stacey....which are my sisters names--!!!

no, i don't... in fact i love my name and treasure my name a lot because it is given by my parents... i think if i don't like my name, it is a kind of disrespect towards my parents...

I don't hate my name because i was named after a flower that is mainly used in perfumes.I have to live to it for another 25 years.

Nopes I do not hate my name .. I and do not have any reason to do so .. moreover zi do not even can think of a reason which may make others to hate their name ,.. except the extraordinary situation where there name matches with some terrorist or some one hated by masses .. but still i am not very convinced with this idea

Well Why Should we Hate Our Name?
As it Makes us Realize Who we are.
We Should love it as we are Identified by it.

i admit.. before i really hate my name.. where in the world can u find "wyeth" haha! only here! well.. my name is wyeth.. i asked my dad why "wyeth"? he told me.. "wyeth means a gifted child.. your a gift from God, thats why we love you." i searched the meaning of my name and it says that my name creates an active mind! oh wow!

i actually kinda like mine. my name is kristina, and it means annointed christian. my mom named and sometimes i dont like it, cuz ill meat some1 like some1 from school and theyll have this really crazy name like something unique, and then im like damn my name is so boring compared to there's lol. but anyway when i hear of ppls names who are really disgusting names, like who in their right mind would name their kid that u know??...then i appreciate mine.=)

No, I like it although some people mis pronounce it or assume it's "Michael" my name is also spelled with one "L" and most people spell it with two, I don't really like that, it makes me feel like a different person.

my name is also strange like you.my user name is my real name.and everybody find it difficult to spell but i ever gets angry as its in my everyday routine now.let them make fun of your name,you just enjoy it.i you get angry then they will again do it so be patient and laugh at their stupid joke you will find after some time they will stop teasing you.its my personal experience.

I used too. When I was little. But since college there was a drama named Diana other than the popularity of Princess Diana. Love it. But I do use alias sometimes.

i hav the same views but it is not funny in my case...i am having a popular name "amit" and that is my problem ...wherever i use to be so many amits are already present ther..in my class it is upto amit -5...so u can think whts theproblem i am amit 2 in class..everyone use to say this.isnt lookin bad to feel...but afterall ihav to carry this nam with me whole life..afterall i am not alone with this trouble..
