as a religious person? If so what religion?
I do not consider myself as a religious person. I do not serve a religion. I serve Jesus Christ. I have a personal realationship with Him.
Jesus did not die so we can have religion, He died so that we can have a personal relationship with Him. Jesus taught against the religious people all the time.
I believe religion hinders are relationship with Jesus. Religion puts bonds on us and Jesus sets us free.
What is your opinion?

I agree somewhat. I don't think that religion hinders your relationship with Jesus but it should draw you closer to him and teach you how to serve the Lord. The sad part about it is that some people get so caught up in religion that they forget the purpose of religion and put the religion before Jesus and that is where the problem comes in.

I agree with you. I tend to refer to myself as a "spiritual" person rather than a religious person because the word "religious" has such negative connotations to it. I am a Christian who is happy serving God in every way of my life and I have a dep connection and relationship with Him.
The word "religion" tends to indicate a distant, formal God rather than One who is happy with you in simplicity, who loves you as you are, but cares enough not to leave you that way.

I don't consider myself a religious person. Religion is something that was made up by a church and thus becomes church doctrine. I am a spiritual person and I believe in God and Jesus and I have a relationship with God/Jesus.

I consider myself a spiritual person. I believe in God and pray. I don't go to church, partly because of my husband's work on Sunday mornings and partly because I haven't found anywhere that really speaks to me.

I serve Jesus Christ, I have a personal relationship with Christ, I strive to be like Him, if asked if I am a religious person I would say YES, I worship God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. My "religion" is Christianity. I attend and am a member of a Free Methodist Church. The only teachings of God I know of that were against religion were religions that did not worship Him. I do not think that my religion puts any bonds on me at all except for linking me to Christ. My church is a group of other people who believe the same as I do and help me to grow, worship, learn, and become closer to Christ. That's my opinion :)

I was a religious person and I studied in a religion school. I got sick of it, and now i'm not religious at all. My family is still religious, and I don't have problem with that at all. Every one can do whatever he likes to do. My religion is jewish. I must say that when I get the chance to prey, it does affect on me, and I remember when I was a religion person.

You know I've heard much about haridim in Israel who grew up in religios families, but when they grew older they stopped to believe in God. I even met one such guy, he said he didn't even believe in God any more. I said I pittied him, because I think it doesn't matter if you follow some traditions or not, the most important thing is if you believe or not. Well, I might be wrong after all.

i am more rigid about my culture than about my religion. i dont hink the religion of a person should matter. i pray to god in general,. i think of him as an old man who has a turban on his head and a long white flowing beard. thats it, i think nothing beyond that. it is just gosd and not religion. so maybe i am not a religion person.

I consider my self more spiritual than religious. I'm Quaker (protestant.) I think religion focuses more on the laws of the church more than the laws in the bible and your personal journey with Christ. I have to agree with you that religion puts bonds on us and that Jesus sets us free. Example: One religion that I have friends in forbids dancing, in the bible people are mentioned as dancing with joy and happiness. Therefore the ban is the churches (from man), not God's as was written in the bible.

I do not consider myself overly religious. I believe in religion and it has had a great impact on my life. Not only that religion means so much to me that it'd be hard to imagine life without it. However, I do not lead a very religious life. I sin daily and seek forgiveness and I am sorry for every sin I commit. It's just very hard to lead the good life these days I find

I was born nad raised Catholic, and pretty much had the Catholic Religion shoved done my throat. I went to the Catholic school for 8 years, and Church EVERY morning. Don't get me wrong, I love Church, but every morning was just too much. Needless to say this all really gave me a bad taste for the Catholic Religion and I got to a point that I broke away and did my own thing. I read the Bible and Prayed to God and Jesus, and that was where I was for many years. In 1995 I was Saved and converted over to the Baptist faith, I do not serve my Religion though, I serve Christ and God and my Church, my Religion, (Baptist) is only a symbol so to speak of what I believe as far as Christianity is concerned.

hi, u r saying that u dont consider yourself as religious person then wat abt jesus christ. i u have belief in him u r becoming religious. if u r non-religious person u should not consider any god. as i am hindu- i had strong belief on gods. one more thing is dat as a hindu i even like to go to the church and also to the masjid. i am eager to know the things u people do in church and masjid and parties u carry on the name of god. there is no wrong in believing god . but this religion or god should not become a wall between the hearts of the people. at last we have to think and keep in mind that the gods are also humans once. so be as human and be lovable to others. one more thing is that all these religions are interrelated, i strongly believe in that.

I do agree with you. I think any religion sets bonds on people, and for someone it's a righteous way of life, though for someone not.
I consider myself as a non-religious person, but a believer. I interact with people of different religions and I think that God is one for all people of all countries and all religions. Every religion declares similar ideas. I believe that it doesn't matter if you go to church/synagogue/etc., the most important thing is what inside you, what your thoughts are and how you treat other people.
