I will not opt to have an ugly scar from the mouth to the eye just so I can increase my IQ by 40 points. Actually, even if there shall be no trade offs required I will not endeavor for it. Currently, I am doing ok at the present level of my IQ, I do not see any need for increasing it. It is unnecessary to have a very high IQ level anyway to cope with life. One needs to be smart and have some wisdom to be able to pull it through.

That's a great answer. I've met a lot of people in my time who had a really great IQ or gerat education, but lacked in common sense. It's great to have a lot of knowledge but it doesn't mean anything without the wisdom to apply it. I would be fine with my own IQ and no scar, personally. I seem to be doing alright, as well.

well if one was inherently smart(almost genius) in the first place, an additional 40 points to his iq along w/ a mean scar to his face won't be any matter to him; w/ big brains he could join a trivia quiz show, win thousands; apply for a high-paying job; develop something new for humankind, etc.. and after that, needless to say, he could afford the means to banish that nasty scar on his face, but his achievements would still be there, livin' the 'good life'... that's what i'm thinking at least.
