Would you be offended if I deleted you. I have a great deal of people on my friends list that I never chat with and hardley ever respond to thier discusions. I am thinking about deleting them but I dont want them to think it is becuase I dont like them, its just that there isnt much in common. Would you, do you delete them ?

I would not be offended but I love having your rainbow picture in my friends list. I love rainbows to me they mean good luck. That is really nice of you to even post a discussion like this and ask. Some people just delete and do not even care. You are very sincere and polite person to even thing of asking and not wanting to hurt their feelings. You should be proud of yourself.

Thank you so much, I love your sweet little angel too. I have a realy good friend that is realy in to angels and I showed your to her and she fell in love ! I enjoy your discusions and wont be thinking about deleting you. I think there are some that just seem to post pointless things all the time and thise are the ones I am concerned about. Thanks for your kind words, the feeling is most certainly mutual.

You sound like me....so many people you cannot keep up with and you really never look into what they have to offer mylot. I have a mssive amount of friends and I never talk to any of them! I recently looked into what they had discussion-wise and had gone through pages and pages of their material to find I wasn't intersted in any of it! I honestly don't think poepl would even notice if you deleted them. As many people don't know who they have on their lists. How can on possibly keep up with hundreds of people, most (or all) of which they have never even met?

Sure! Yes it isn't the "friends" persay on mylot that is the good "selling points" it is the ones you have things in common with. The ones you can agree upon things and share ideas...those are the ones you should keep.
Good luck!

Thanks for the input, you are among about 3 friends that I have actualy made a real conection with and there is a lot of people on my list that are from when I first joined and I havent seen any discusions from them I am interested in. I think I might just leave them for now and keep on looking.

LOL -DON'T YOU DARE DELETE ME! Actually I did some housecleaning the other night of my "friends" some that I've never heard anything from and some who have sent me a hundred discussions but not responded to one of mine. Come on, how difficult is it to respond to something like how many radios do you have, what rooms are they in, and which do you listen to most?
Seriously, I love your discussions and would like to remain your friend.

Dont worry you are on the top of my keep list, I value you greatly as a friend and kindred spirit. I also love your topics and cant wait to see what you have to say every day ! I know I dont respond to all of them, My time is kind of limited so I try to keep to the ones I have realy strong opinions about. Keep up the great work !!!!!!

Whew - I have been worried about this because I also enjoy your discussions and feel a connection with our friendship. Don't be looking to hard for discussions from me the next 3 days, just here for a few minutes and back to work on assignment. Making great headway but deadline is nearing and I have a lot to go.

Well to start with I am fairly new to myLot so I may be just a tad upset not angry if I was deleted. I have yet to delete any as I only have a handfull anyhow. As far as talking with a y friends here thats a ways off for me. Ive sent messages to a few on my list. I also try to post a comment ever so often on the friends site that I respond to their topics etc. So Im trying to be a good so called friend etc here. Anyhow if you wish to delete me or any other friends that is your perogative. I wont be hurt angry etc. Have a good day here also. Thanks for this topic. I loved most the replies so far also.

I think its great that you have fun here, thats what it is all about. Dont feel bad if you dont get to all your friends discusions, I only reaply to the ones that interest me. I think if I HAD to reply to all of them that it would be a job rather than a learning experience. I always check my friends topics first than move on to others. You have some prety good topics so no worry, I will keep you !

I wouldn't be offended if someone deleted me for a valid point. I of course delete the so-called friends who are neither active nor respond to my discussions. I did some cleaning not too long ago and now am left with good reliable friends, some who are so close to me that it is unbelievable. We mutually help each other out by responding to each others' discussions(the ones that interest us). when I first joined I accepted every request that came my way, only later did I realize it was of no use.

For me, I think of my mylot friends as real friends. For example, if you have a "live" friend and you do not have contact with him or her for a long time, would you stop being their friend? Would you tell them that you are no longer their friend just because you haven't heard from them for quite a while? If you want your friends to respond to your discussions then maybe you should send them a private message. I do this sometimes to remind others that I'm still here, although I'm not as active as I once was.

Hi, Like one of your other responders, I too delete non-active members who haven't been online for awhile! I've also deleted members who don't ever bother replying to my discussions, and those who I don't have much in common with. I try to keep my friends to a minimum and only keep those with quality discussions - harsh but I try to respond to my friends discussions at least 3 times per week, I'm limited to time on mylot due to work and stuff so I prefer to have quality rather than quantity. I know those that I do have on my list respond to discussions and have decent discussions of their own! Don't feel guilty about it - Friends are the most important people on here as when your discussions are not going well, you know that your friends will always reply!

No, happymom, I wouldn't be offended if I were to be deleted from your friends list. Especially since you don't have the time to respond to me. It would certainly cut down on the confusion. If I couldn't respond to all the friend on my list, I think that I'd delete them to take the stress off myself. So, thank you.

I have responded to many of your discusions, the ones I am speeking about are ones that have topics that either make no sense or I am just no interested in. I enjoy your point of view and answer when the discusion is of interest. Have you made a coment or message to me that I have not answered ? If so I am soory and I prolly just havent gotten to it yet as I am still pretty sick and not spending to much time here.
