do you have to be drunk to dance at a bar?

I don't dance.I hate dancing.The only dance i enjoy is that "penguin style"dance(lol).I like going out somewhere where i can have a couple of drinks(club or bar ..whatever) and i don't like people who after a couple of drinks think that they are Fred Astaire.Or worse,they try to convinge you that you're a professional dancer.Grr

i would most certainly have to be drunk to dance at a bar. i hardly dance as it is, regardless of the place. i'm a really bad dancer and i am kind of embaressed about my "style" of dancing.

I never have to drink to have a good time. I used to be a good dance until I messed up my ankle. Now I only slow dance and I don't have to be drunk to do any kind of dancing. I also like Kareoke and I don't have to be drunk to sing either. I like my drivers license so I gave up drinking but I will never give up having fun.

When I was young, I would dance and dance and have so much fun. But now that I am 36, it takes a few drinks for me to get going. LOL I am like you...I don't get out much now since having the kiddos and I really am not a "club" type person anymore. Not sure what happened, but even before I had kids...at around 27 or so, I got tired of going to the clubs and bars. :)

No, you don't need to be drunk in order to dance at a bar. I enjoyed dancing a lot in my youthful days and did so when i was sober and or had a few drinks. Sometimes a group of us girls would just go out to dance and not drink at all - it was alwys a lot of fun when we did that!!!!

It's not essential for me to be drunk in order to dance in a bar, however it's definitely more appealing after a few drinks! Makes me care less about what people think.

I used to be but than they started having Karoke.....I'll dance sober but I won't sing.....LOL

i haven't been out in almost 3 years and only ever gone out to a bar maybe 5 times in my life. but yes i have to have a few before i get up and dance i have always been this way. not sure why when you see some of the others up there dancing i know i can't look worse then them.lol so yes i have to have a few to dance and won't before i do.

I do! I mean I haven't, but I would! I guess it's just because I 'loosen up'. I don't care as much about what people think, and I just enjoy myself more!

I would definitely have to be drunk to dance anywhere!! I feel too silly trying to dance...I will do a little dance for my hubby after I have had a few but not very often!!
