i hate people who take a cert in shops and even if they do not have to buy a lot of things. i got stuck with this lady who went where i went and with the big cart of hers which made it difficult for me to move. and finally she ended up buying only enough things to fit in a basket instead. why do people do that? what do u prefer, a basket or a cart at the cost of other's inconvenience?

Haha! Sometimes, I have the same trouble moving around in the supermarkets because many people are pushing carts. Well, I only like to push carts when there's few people around and it's also easier than carrying baskets. The basket can get heavy, you know.
I guess some people thought they'd be buying lots of stuff so that's why they push carts. Or maybe they are just lazy to carry heavy baskets. Young people can carry heavy baskets but the senior ones should push carts instead.
I only like to shop when there are no crowds. It's difficult even to walk around without a cart or a basket. But, usually there'll be tons of shoppers when there's a huge sale.

When we go shopping we take a cart but if it is just for small things well we just take a recycle bag, which is small but in regards to the cart it is not big it is only small and people do not have any trouble with it at all so we are not inconveniencing anyone.

I always take a cart as I have to sit my little girl in it, so even if I am only busy a couple of things I have to have one.
If I have the pushchair with me I have to hang the basket on the side of it which probably takes up more room than the trolley.
I can understand why old people push a trolley. A basket can be heavy and a trolley will help them walk and balance.

depends what I am going in for! But saying that I usually get a cart, The shop I use in the UK, Tescos they have different sized carts, so if I only need a small shop I will just take a small cart. It is really useful as I have to rely on crutches to get about, so carrying a basket with crutches would be really difficult! The smaller carts hold not much more than the baskets, and I find then useful to lean on too lol

i myseldf prefer to just pick a basket. carts are a bother to me and to others. and i dont understand why do people shop as if there is no tomorrow. they go on picking things and then make u wait in long queues. the shops in fact should remove all carts.

baskets or carts?
This depends on how long my list is. If i know it will only fill a basket, I would go for a basket. However, if my list is long I prefer carts to fit in all the things im going to buy.
