V C Andrews is one of my favorite authors. I may still have the Flowers entire series. I think I have read just about everyhting she wrote as well as what the ghost writers wrote from her manuscripts after she passed on.
Out of all of her series, the Flowers in the Attic and the Heaven series have been my favorites.

After I read "Flowers..." I will have read that whole series. I have read 2 or 3 from the Heaven Series. Read 2 from the Melody series. Plus some other ones. I have Celeste and two more at the house that I haven't read yet, but plan on reading this week.

I'm enjoying them all. I have 3 or 4 still to read. We hit up Books A Million while on vacation and they were having a huge sale...LOL...only I would go to the Beach and go to a book store :).

I read a lot of her books years ago. I loved all the 'Flowers' books. I agree that a lot of them are very similar. I think I got bored with them because that was all I was reading. "FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC" was my first an I was hooked. I also saw the movie. The book ,of course, was much better, but I don't remember if it was the same or not. Hope you like it.

I'm liking it so far. I remember the movie a little bit, but not much, I just remember my mother watching it while I was young. I've read the rest of the series, so I kinda already know what happens. It's a good read so far.

I am really enjoying them. I haven't found an author that I like this much since I went through my James Patterson phase...LOL. I like the twists and turns in her books. I can't wait to finish Flowers, I'm on chapter 3...should have it finished by tomorrow or Monday. She's an interesting author.

I've read some of her books..I remember that "Flowers in the Attic," book, I read that along time ago. I think they made a movie of it, too. The book was good..but it was pretty depressing for me. I always wondered if stuff like that actually goes on for real, little children being locked up like that for years of their lives. I think I read a couple of other books of hers, but I don't remember now.

Many of her books that I have read has a sad part. I'll probably have Flowers read by the end of the weekend, I'll be sure to write about what I thought of it.

I love V.C. Andrews. I have been reading her books for years! Flowers in the Attic was her first and one of the best ones. I prefer to read her older books. The ones that were written by the actual Author and not a writer under her name. When you read through the series you will find the older ones have a very different... feel, to them compared to the new ones that come out. Its because they arent her origional ideas.
Heaven's series was one of my favorites. Melody was quite good too. I think my favorite though was My Sweet Adrina, Its not part of a series. But its really good.

I'll have to find that one for sure. Our library here has a great selection of her books, I think I've read all that they have. I have read all of the Dollanger series after I finish "Flowers..." The Heaven series I really really enjoyed. I've only read one of the Celeste books, but I have some others to read still. Thanks for the tip on My Sweet Adrina.

I love V.C. Andrews. I started reading her work when I was in the 7th or 8th grade. My absolute favorite of her work is the Casteel Series staring with Heaven. It's absoultey fantastic. If you haven't read that yet - do. Another really great book of hers is My Sweet Audrina. It's one of the few that doesn't have a series with it. I love Flowers in the Attic and it's series too. But I've always liked Heaven's the best. I am actually into the fourth book of that series now. I just recently bought all the books off ebay. I had read/borrowed my moms when I was little but now I own all my favorites:)

Heaven is a really good series. Can you believe Tony? He's UNREAL...
It makes you wonder though with all the incest she has in her books if something similar happened to her (falling in love with a family member unknowingly).

I actually just finished the third book out of the Heaven series. I just need to read the last two. I like the Heaven series as much as I did the Flowers In the Attic series.

I loved the whole Dollanganger Family series (Flowers, etc). I read them years ago, when I had to wait for another to be released.
I hadn't read any more in the years since then, but recently picked up a few of the series at the library. I read Rain, Lightning Strikes, Eye of the Storm and The End of the Rainbow, and they were pretty good, and I just finished the first of the two book Shadows series.
I agree, the more recent ones are all quite similar, they seem to follow the same format. But all in all, they are an enjoyable read. I think that Flowers will always be my favorites though.

I love V.C. Andrews, have been reading her since my early pre-teen years (I'm 27, so that's a good stretch of time). I enjoy reading through a series, one book at a time. My partner is also a fan, maybe an even bigger one then I am. Flowers in the Attic is probably my favorite!
