How to Deal with Strangers

Have you ever been approached by a stranger and then offers you a deal that he insists that you wouldn't decline? Then you try your best to get away from the stranger but you can't seem to loose him. He gives you his name and other personal information that you didn't ask for and then tries to pry info from you by asking questions. What would you do if you were in this predicament? I had this scary experience once in my life. I simply ignored this guy and just went straight near a crowded place. The guy simply backed off and then disappeared. I just hope that no one else can experience this.
