I was in college then when I first heard about mesntrual tampons but haven't used one until now... I just wonder how it feels..lol What advantages do you guys think it has over the old-fashioned sanitary napkins??? I remember one of my korean students last year when we had a beach outing, she did go to a drug store on our way to the beach and grabbed a couple of tampons. I guess using it would hurt somehow...what do you think???

when inserted properly you will not feel anything. If its incorrectly put in you will feel pressure. Generally incorrectly put in means that its not in far enough. Your best bed is to use ones with a aplicator, as they are very easy to use. You will know when its time to change by the feeling again, You will feel it, it wont hurt but you might feel some pressure. But when they are put in properly, you dont feel a thing.

I use tampons all the time, and they don't hurt a bit. The advantage is that they are less bulky, and they are easier to carry. Along with the tampon I wear a panty-liner, which is very thin, just incase there is a small leak. They don't hurt at all.

They do not hurt at all. if they do you did something wrong inserting it =) It is so much smoother than the pads and I could never go back to using them again!

I liked them better than pads. They can be a bit uncormfortable the first time, especially if you are not "active". Putting a little vaseline on the tip makes it easier to insert. Then there also have been times with women use both at the same time.

I cannot use tampons. My aunt had a rather nasty experience with one and as a result she got Cancer. I know the chances of the same thing happening again are very slim, but it just frightens me. I use sanitary pads, they're comfortable for me and thats what matters.
