How often do you use your cell-phone? Do you use it only in extreme situations or whenever you want to talk with someone? How many minutes/hours do you spend talking over the cell-phone? Do you have one at all? Happy to hear from you. :)

I use my phone all the time. Only to send text messages though. People may call me but I wouldn't use it to call unless it's really important because it cost alot.

My husband and I both have cell phones and we use them to talk to each other when he's on his way home. If I call him from the home phone we get a long distance charge on our phone bill. We both use them for our long distance calls too for the same reason. Sometimes I use it when I'm online because I don't use "callwave" or anything like that.

The same is for us. My husband and I may speak over cell phones several times a day, not much, just to know that everything's OK. We've got a special tariff for calls between our cells, so we don't get high bills. Thank you for your comment :)

I have one and it's great to have in situations but i really miss sending and receiving letters! But in saying that i must spend between thirty and sixty euros on my phone some weeks so that's the big downfall! I text way too much!! lol

My cell phone is the only phone that I have. We have not had a landline phone for nearly 3 years, so I use my cell phone for all my phone communication. I am busy at home with four little ones so I spend probably less than an hour a day during the week on my phone. On the weekends, I spend a little more time talking with friends and relatives that I have not communicated with by email during the week.

Thank you for your note. We've got a landline, too, and we use it if it's more profitable to talk over it. Usually it's more expensive to talk over cell-phone, but it depends whom you're calling.

Is it probably the thing you can't live without?

I have a cell phone, but I only use it when necesssary. I only use mine at most an hour or two a week. I'm not the type of person who uses it all the time. When I go into stores, I see people using them all the time. I think to myself "What could be so important that they need to be on them all the time?" I understand a lot of people use them, instead of having a house phone. And I also understand that a lot of people need them for their jobs, so I really don't have anything against them.

I don't have anything against it too, though I personally try to speak not much. I pitty parents who can't have an eye on how much time their kids speak over the cell. So when they receive huge bills they get angry but still can do little about it. In Israel even small children of 10 years old use cells.

I talk in a standart way. I mean, I talk only when I can't wait to get home and call.

I use my cellphone when I need to make a quick call about something, or I have it on for an incoming call if I am expecting a call but have to leave the house. For regular day to day calls I use my land line.

I have both a cell and a land line. I use the cell when necessary during the weekdays and nights and weekends are unlimited usage and free long distance. I am considering to give up the home phone and just keep the cell. After seeing what happened in my city on 9-11, I will not be without a cell.

Yes you are right, it is a dangerous world and we need to be prepared and be able to contact our loved ones. Thank you for the BR.

Right. It's sad but it's true. When I first came to Israel (it was the beginning of the year 2000), I heard someone saying that a cell phone is a necessity in this country, not just a nice toy, because parents can't be sure if their children return home from school. I was shocked when I heard it. When I immigrated to Israel, I realized that was true.

My husband and I drive a truck cross country for a living and use our cell phones regularly, both to communicate with dispatch, shippers and receivers, and to keep in touch with our family and friends. I usually pay most of our bills over the phone as well. We share 2100 minutes between us and usually use most (though not all) of them each month. I also have an air card for my laptop through our cellular provider that I use to access the internet while we are away from home. We couldn't get along without them!

I do use my cell phone often. there are days that i don't make any call, but at least i do or receive a couple daily. Anyway those calls are mostly quite short, and they're usually to say hey appointment at 5 etc...that kind of stuff.
