I wouldn't touch an AMD Athlon or any other AMD with a sh***ty stick. Intel rocks, and the new Core Duo is simply amazing... though I know that there is better technology out there, but they just keep us buyers on a string while they keep upgrading and charging us sky high prices for it!!
AMD and Celeron processors really really suck big time. They are so slow. You should see my compie after I upgraded to Intel from AMD.. it runs so much smoother and reliantly. If you say your AMD is good for gaming, it's more likely to be your graphics cards that are better, not the processor. You should do a test on the same spec machine only changing the processor... then you'll see what I mean! hehe
Cheers dude!

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because
--comparatively cheap
--high performance
--high stabilty
--greater support for gaming
i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2.
thank you!

well i think its intel no more......AMD has turned into competitior to intel....
now the problem with the intel processor is that..they are coming up with processors with more and more processing power and so incresing the power comsumption....i mean the power required to cool down the processor has increased and its practicallly observed......this is the reason many companies like SUN MICROSYSTEMS started to make tie up's with AMD rather than intel...
AMD previously used to have the problem of cooling..but now they hv reduced it to maximum extent in the new ones...

my friend if u have a lot of graphics related work then u should go for AMD. if u have more of editing work or multimedia work then intel is better. take the processor according to ur use.
