Based on what I wrote in my blog:
V for Vendetta is dangerous. If only for the ideals it espouses. If only for the warning that with just one, single incident, followed by others, has the power to change the course of that country. This especially applies to a country with a large middle-class society, one that has similarities with each other in terms of lifestyle and dreams.
The idea that it is the enemy within that is the scariest, that you are the most vulnerable to people who will strike at you with no warning... this idea will sow mistrust in the populace that would enable someone shrewd enough to take over the country, much like what happened in V. It's a timely warning, and one not only to countries like America and Britain, but those like my own, which are already on the way there, or have already arrived.
So do I think it was a good movie? Hell yeah!

it is a great movie, i own the dvd and saw it in the theaters about 3 times; first with my family, than with one group of freinds, than with another group of friends.
i want to get a hold of the comics.... about the movie; the similarities between what happened in the story line and the U.s. is remarkable... but the whole bird flu and americas war thing on the news took the cake.
i recomend "children of men" to anyone who enjoyed V.

I thought V for Vendetta was an excellent movie and upon the first viewing it became one of my "all time faves" and it still remains one to this day.
I found the movie to be politically charged without blatant name calling, action packed, and exceptionally compelling. Not only did the viewers watch the movie and hear the dialogue they were also forced to open their minds and think about what it was they were watching. THere were a number of themes and allusions that were made within the first ten minutes alone. By the end of the movie I think anyone who actually watched it felt a bit changed.
To top it off the actors gave it their very best and the effort they put forth in their portrayals was noticed and appreciated. I can never get enough of this movie.
