is it true that when you feed you dog prawn, they loose their fur?

probably. we have been told since we were young not to feed dogs shellfish coz it does something bad to them particularly to their skin. so we dont feed our dogs shellfish and we never had problems about their fur. i dont know if there is some scientific explanation about this, but probably more on personal experiences. but based on what happens to your dog, if she did ate prawns and that happened to her, i guess it must be true. go have your dog checked by your vet just to be sure.

I've never heard that one. I do know that any type of fish and seafood is not good for dogs. It is too high in mercury, and can cause liver damage. So, it is possible that it could also affect their hair and cause them to loose it. The only dogs I know of that can handle certain fishes are Huskies, and that is only if they are raised from a pup to eat it...I am speaking mainly of the dog sled huskies. I hope this helps.
