do you read with ur mouth or with your eyes only?

Everyone of us had different strategy in reading books, magazines, tabloids etc...Have you encountered someone who is reading with loud voice, and when you asked him/her what is the authors point of view, he/she couldnt answered? because she never understand what she read,..there is another reader who read only with his eyes, and he can totally understood what he is reading...
When i am in high school, i encourage my friends to study our lesson for the upcoming examination, and i hate with one of my friend because she read louder and i couldnt understood what i am studying, she reasoned out she couldnt understood if she will read it only with her eyes, im so disgusted..!
How about you? are you a reader with good memory?

It depends. Sometimes I have to read with my mouth when Im in a noisy place because thats how I get to digest what I read. I read with my eyes too when Im alone. But when its my school books that I have to read, I definitely have to read out loud because I memorize better when I do that.

first of all i hate reading things i dont understand, when i read all these discussion i read out loud, it really helps and a lot of times when i dont do good on a quiz over something we were supposed to read in class, i cant. i hate reading in school bc i cant do it outloud.

When I was studying I used to read also in a louder voice for it makes me understand easily what I'm reading and also to practive my speech and vocalization but now I just read in my eyes for I dont have speech subject now. I understand if it is student who use to read loud for I also do that before so I dont get mad if I heard someone speaking in a loud voice.

Its depends on situation,in case of reading for others i used to read loud and if for my understanding i will read through my mind and eyes.

Reading loud may help for memorise not for understanding. i used to read through my mind and eyes which helps me to understand what im reading.

i consider myself to be a reader with good memory... i am seldom reading something out loud and i don't like other people doing it to me as well because it is so annoying... i just can't concentrate with what i am reading if there is somebody near me reading out loud...

With people around I try to read quietly with eyes only. If I'm alone, I might read aloud if I'm not getting the meaning of what I'm reading.

i read only with my eyes. i absolutely hate it when people read out loud or move their lips while reading. It is distracting and annoying. It's not a thing to be "deisgusted" over, though. It isn't immoral or repulsive.

I read with my eyes only. If I read with my mouth I tend to get distracted by the sound of my own voice.
Reading with my eyes I feel is better for me, although I often find that as the words sink into my brain, they're sinking in as though I'm actually a part of the story. I hear all the different voices, and the different tones. I see the faces, and hear the laughter of the characters.
And yes, I'm aware that I'm a very strange person with a very active imagination LOL.

i usually read only with my eyes
somtimes i want to hear myself read so i read out loud
it is funny
cause i know alote of people that read with their mouth and eyes and becuse i know how to read mouth sign language i usually relax look at them and enjoy what they are reading

I prefer loud reading than reading with the eyes. I tend to absorb and retain the contents more in loud reading. But when i read loud, i make sure i'm doing it in a private place. I don't read loud in front of so many people because its disturbing. And not all people,as you have said, has the same technique in reading.

Like you said, everyone has different reading styles. I personally read with only the eye. The times when I'm memorizing, I will commit it to mind first then say it out. But if its group study, hey I quite really like people to read it out loud, cos it saves me time from reading whatever he's reading hahaha. Readers with good memory should try to learn how to use photographic memory. It really beats any other type of reading.

When i dont understand how something is witten then I do in fact read with my . Sometimes i will say a sentence over and over and get louder until i understand. I never have to do it too often...
Most of the time I just readand picture myself in what ever I am reading. It may make it more interesting.

Actually i don't have a good memory and a very lazy person who hardly read papers heheh. But when i read i read it silently not like some other people who read out aloud what they are reading. I think its better if they too try to read it silently by concentrating on the topic with their eyes heheh not with their mouth

actually when i was in school i too used to read louder bcoz then only i can grasp the meaning of the subject into my mind.my brothers used to shout at me if i read louder complaining that they are unable to understand what they are reading.but i realised when i was in my college as i found many of my classmates have the practice of reading silently.now iam alright as i can rad it thro my eyes and no more read louder except for reading aa letter or a mail to my grandparents.
i too feal that we should practice reading thro eyes ..bocz we will neither disturb others concentration nor waste or energy shouting..
