Does oatmeal really give us good health?

Im on my oatmeal diet right now again.I used to do this diet and it really makes me lost pounds a lot.But is this kind of diet would be really fine.I eat heavy meals in the morning and then i only eat oatmeal and soda crackers the whole day.Can anybody tell me something about it...

It's also very good if you have a weak stomach, and that's my case. I always eat oatmeal at morning. I know it's not directly topic-related, but my advice is that you excercise and get a routine. Not eating fatty foods is good, but excercising is DEFINITELY the best way to keep on shape. You'll feel better being surrounded with healthy people who can advice you, and excercise makes you feel confortable with yourself, as well as more energetic. After a while you'll get addicted to excercising, to the point that you won't remember how you actually survived without sweating everyday!

Oh cool.Thanks for the concern.I do dancing every afternoon.And it really makes me feel good.I do aerobics at home for i cant go to the gym coz of my little boy coz no one would take care of him.

Well yes, that's pretty good too. IMO it's not that important what type of excercise you do, the important part is to keep it constant. As long as you move your body everything is fine :) I'm glad that you can do aerobics and dancing even with a boy!

You're on diet, right? and have a heavy meals in the morning. you know what the best breakfast looks like? It should be digestible and have good absorb when stomach empty. and the main food for breakfast is Carbohydret and also eat eggs, and fruits. If you don't eat Carbohydret at all, in your brain wouldn't have enough glucose therefore you would feel hungry often. yeah and that's why Oat is really appropriate for breakfast and for your body. so you don't feel hungry and don't eat too much..especially your weight would be lose. =) and you know why oat is good for breakfast? yeah because there is alot of Carbohydret, alot of fiber, and can be dissolve in water real well so it can absorb sugar from any bad things in your stomach very good. Moreover, oat has low fatty, alot of protein, vitamin, mineral salt, and anty oxidant so you're gonna recieve many good things when you eat oats. =) especially BETA-GLUCAN in oats that real useful for healthy such as decrease cholesterol in blood vessels that's why is really appropriate for who would like to control level of cholesterol and who that want to be on diet. Furthermore, it also decrease sugar level in blood vessels..you know when we receive less insulin so it makes you feel full such a long time. Don't feel hungry anymore! haha. and OAT is good for who have diabetes. importantly, decreasing heart trouble in people, and maintain your blood pressure being alright, also cholesterol in blood vessel like I said before that cause of heart trouble. So it is really good for breakfast! and it's easy to cook! EAT BREAKFAST LIKE A KING, EAT LUNCH SUITABLE, EAT DINNER LIKE A BEGGAR. IF U DO LIKE THIS IN EVERY DAY. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE GOOD HEALTHY. I love oatmeal. It's very good for you because it's high in fiber and can lower your cholesterol and help lose weight. You also need to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water.

Thanks for responding.I mix some fruits on my oatmeal.I tried to mix some raisins on it and sometimes i put chopped apples.

yeh its fine....i do the same!! except for the soda craker part that is..!! ^_^ i following the same diet...and my mum approves (and thats saying a lot..as she is a doctor and usually against all crash dieting!!) so thats basicly all the assurance i need!! hey are you really faithful?? bcoz i sometimes get bored of eating oatmeals ...day-in and day-out!! so i sometyms hav chips in the afternoon!! but burn it up...promise!! ^_^ best of luck!!

Oh thanks a lot im glad youre on my side lol...I thought no one would agree with what im doing and i feel like stopping it already thanks to onow that its really good as of your mom who's a doctor coz ive neer consulted anyone before i did this kind of diet.Well,happy oatmeal eating...

Yes!There are lot of health benefits of oatmeal! 1)It lowers cholestrol levels. 2)Oats has antioxidants which reduces the risk of getting cardiovascular diseases. 3)They lower the risk of getting type 2 diabetes! 4)Stabilizes blood sugar levels. 5)Strenghthens the immune system. oatmeal is good for us. there are two type of colestherol, the good one and the bad one. oatmeal cleans out the bad one and will leave the good one in you body. If your asking if its OK to eat only oatmeal the whole day. I don't think that is wise. We need a balance diet. We need to get nutrient, mineral, vitamins to other food that oatmeal can not give us. Try to feel it for yourself. You do lose weight but does that make you more energetic? Or do you tire more easily right now? I'm not saying not to eat oatmeal, what I'm saying is if you get tired easily maybe you're lacking something in you diet. Try to mix your diet, you can add some vegies and fruit in your diet. And of course visit your doctor regularly, its them who can really give you a really good advise.

oatmeal is rich in fiber and absorbs oil. if you try putting oil on the dry oats, it will expand and the oil content will be lessen. fiber is esential in sweeping the waste in the large intestines. I don't think it has a high nutritional value but it helps in maintaining our digestive system

Oh!!I love oatmeal actually that is my breakfast instead of having some eggs,sausages and bacon they said you should not missed breakfast but i need light meal.It's a good diet food lots of fiber w/c aims good digestion.To those who have problems w/ cholesterol it's the best.My alternative for dinner when i don't feeel like eating complete meal.

Are you trying to lose weight? Oatmeal is good becaue it has fibers which help cleanse your body. If you want to lose weight try eating fruits in the morning.
