My second day's earnings

For the record, my first day's earnings was 8 cents.
And what a pleasant surprise when my second day's earnings came up to be 95 cents. That's 95/8=12 times the previous and my curiosity is again intensified... I definitely did not make 12 times more posts than yesterday...
Once again, I am not complaining of course! (Though I have to wonder why images fetched so little. :P)

The new rules said you must meet 500 points before you can put pictures on. And, they must relate to the topic. You will get one cent for them at that time. Good luck on MyLot, and congratulations. You will get a new update each 24 hours.

One clarification if I may: when you said 500 posts before putting pictures is allowed - you are referring to pictures in RESPONSES in particular?
And yes, I do rate every response I receive on discussions I start. It's only polite since someone is taking good time and effort to answer me. :)

I can post pictures when I start a discussion and I dont have 500 points. The 500 points is for the status of being able to copy & paste. When you start a discussion after 100 points there is in the lower left corner a blue set of words"add image" Don't need 500 points to add pics. Thanks for a great post though.

That is a good record! It shows taht you did a quality posts, I post around 25 posts per day and have earnings about 40 cents. Thats good. But I dont post about the money. I will enlarge that image, but I want you to tell me tommorow how muich you earned from images :p

I made $2.39 for my third day as compared to 95 cents on the second, and 8 cents on the first. ;-)
I remain disappointed that I get so little for images - which take more time than posts to put together. I don't know which image I was paid for so I don't know what I am doing wrong or right.

That's good going wizard, I'm sure you will make much more in the future. The reason for the increase could be that you started more discussions on the second day than the first. Starting discussions add to earnings too. I've noticed such crazy variations in my earnings as well but I never sit down to figure it out, since I don't have expectations on how much I should make here, anything that comes my way is welcome:)

That's the "problem". We don't know what to do to maximise our earnings. We can't even earn on the job as it is so hard to experiment. :/

I think the reason for the difference is that they don't work out all the earnings up to the time they pay you, I think it is a few hours before that. That's why sometimes you have less or more earnings that you expected.

There are a lot of posts about how to earn more. The ones I have seen the most say that the posts should be a bout 4 or 5 lines minimum and one I read the other day said when you pose the question for the discussion it should be around 15 lines. Is that true? I have seen lots of one line anwers and lots just a couple of lines. Do you still get paid if the replies are only 1 or 2 lines?

Oh man, that's the trouble, no one knows the calculation model.
And 4-5 lines for responses and 15 lines for discussion seem like very very very strict criteria! I know I can make sense with just 1-2 lines and still get to the point since I have learned to be concise and succinct over the years. This is a prized language skill... so how can I be penalised for it! *hpmhhh!*
As for discussions, I feel 15 is too many too. You don't need 15 lines to start a good discussion!

hey well done. Second day, thats not bad at all these days. Its really not possible to work out what you are going to get paid day by day, but im sure it will all work out in the end. As for pictures, i think there must be a glitch because many of us have had problems.

wow 0.95$ for a day is very much for me,..since my highest earning was about 0.68$ for a day...How you reached this amount for a day period?..Ok this is a good thing but you should have to think how you can maintain this amount or even increase it for a better earning.

I gave up trying to figure out how myLot does the doling out of money. I look at it this way, I joined two months ago (it says three, but it was only two) and I've made about thirty dollars in that time (not posting every day). If I really pushed it I am sure that I could make double that but for me, the money is a perk but not the main reason I'm here. It kills time when I have insomnia and I've made some new freinds from it.
I am impressed with 500+ postings in five days ... that is providing that I read your home page correctly.

Yes, you read it right. About 500 in about 5 though it was less on the first and peaked down recently. It's full time work for about $2 a day - where can be find a better employee than me?
And I am glad to hear for your sake that it is a bonus for you - that is the money is extra - you can here for the chatting.

My first day earnings were 9 cents and second days earnings were 15 cents not evev double. You made that 8 times wow thats a fair good activity.

How pleasant it must be have all of those cent to be earned, and not tbe touched. Not even to be seen within the grasp of one's hand. It seems like a crying shame. Only to have an Idea of what its like to have all of the itty bitty peices of coins from mylot.com To have that chance to say these are my earnings from mylot.com oh what sweet joy!

I don't understand how the earnings work here on myLot. This discussion was three months ago. I'll bet you are making even more now. You post the kind of discussions that seem to get a lot of answers. That works well for you! Keep up the good work!

Thanks my friend. The trick is to post responses, not discussion.
Here's an example. You post 100 responses - you get maybe $2.
You post a discussion that received 10 responses - you get maybe 2 CENTS.
You post a discussion that received 200 responses (and you take time to response 200 times) - you get maybe 2 CENTS.
Now you know... (no one believes me though and insists otherwise. Zzz...)

I think it is proportional to the time and effort you put in. Try spending more time here and I am sure you will earn as well, if not better than me.
Anyway, the info you are looking at is a bit outdated - notice this discussion was posted a month back..

To be honest you are very lucky that you got 95 cent on your 2nd day ..my max earning is only 28 cent and i try very hard but can not give that much time .. i post arroung 10-15 posts every day..and i think its not enough to make sufficient money ..but i am not giving up i keep on trying
