How many of us watch Grey's Anatomy and want what Derek and Merredith have?? There love seems so strong and you can tell they are definitely made for one another. Do you see them and want what they have? Or were you luck enough to find it in real life??

well since its tv i doubt anyone will ever have exactly what they have besides what couple in reality could possibly work together and still find love it would be rare i can tell you that. But i love the fact that they love each other and they really had a hell of a time trying to finally get together. If it wasn't one thing it was another and then with merredith almost dieing oh i cried through those two episodes it broke my heart to see derek the way he was.

I beg to differ with the whole "what couple could possibly work together and still find love," my boyfriend and I met working at the same place and we carried on a relationship the entire time we were there till I quit. We are still going strong three years later!

I really like Grey's Anatomy. It's a great show and I know what you mean about there relationship. I was one of the lucky ones to find a love like that. I know my husband would do anything and everything to make sure that I was happy. I love him so so so much.

aggh.. I wrote this long response and lost it. But I will sum up what I said. :)
Basically, yes.. I do want what they have, I have never had a relationship or a boyfriend even, so I don't know a whole lot, but I know what I feel, I know what I want, and I'm not gonna sacrifice that for a few cheap thrills. I do believe it is possible. I think we all have our own McDreamy waiting for us out there, the challenge is for us to find him. We may or may not, but I do believe that is real.
Some people are saying "this is tv.." yes, it is--but, tv is based a lot on real life. Real people are writing this stuff, so while it has to be exaggerated greatly to be enjoyable, I believe that at some point it is very real. And the lessons that come from each show are also very real, I kinda feel like it is therapeutic to listen to Meredith's voice overs. It may be entertainment, but there are also valid, meaningful things in it, the thing is, it is how you interpret it. I know I watch shows very attentively, I take in everything, when something happens that makes me mad, I react, the same with sad, happy, etc. So it really depends how you take it all in.
