Best response marked...by mistake -- Ever happened to you ?

I have done this before. The first time I went to mark a best answer I hit the wrong one by accident. I dont' think it really matters that much if its just only once. You can always reward that friend another time on a different discussion.

Yes I've done it too. I think I actually have done it twice now...lol I felt really silly because one of them was by no means even close to best response. Oh well it probably has happened to most of us at least once or will if it hasn't already. I just try to be more careful now.

You are not silly dear, and by far not the only one that has done this. I am guilt too. I felt so bad. But, it cannot be undone. So, I made it up on another post to that person. Have a nice day, be happy, and just give them best response one or two times to make it up.

Ive done that once, another thing ive done by mistake was give someone a negative unstead of a positive. i must have not been paying attention because all of a sudden i accidently pressed the (-) instead of the (+), and you cant go back and fix it! i felt horrible!

Hi, thats ok everybody make mistakes one way or the other. I have never came across that mistake but its normal that we humans make mistakes. But you should not tell that person about that as the person will be hurt, so better leave it that way.

I've only been a member for a little over a week so I haven't marked one by mistake, but I was on the receiving end of an accidentally marked best response. I thought it was pretty cool to get my first one but, the next day when I was checking my discussions, it was gone. I assure you I didn't get upset. I realised it must have been a mistake since the discussion wasn't even very old. Since it happened, I was at least able to see that the best response can be changed instead of being "locked in" like I had previously thought. :D

I have not made the mistake where a best response is concerned, but I have done similar things in error. I can still remember discovering that I had created about 6 friend requests by trying to look at their profile.

Best response marked...by mistake has not happened with me till yet. If it happens it not good to tell the person that,it was 'by mistake'. Its bad, mild heart braker for that person. U r not the silly one... sometimes mistate happens. (Someday I will join u too...lol)

No, it can happen. Lots of mistakes can happen when on the computer. I am sure you aren't the only one that this ever happened to.

So far it hasn't happened to me but there was a time I checked on some of my discussions and one of the best responses I've chosen had been unchosen... I was puzzled but decided to just put it back the way it was.

I had marked it once then I reported it to mylot and they answered that they could do nothing about it as its totally on the users but they might have kept it in mind while distributing earnings , I don't know as they had just appreciated my effort to report it. I think you must report it by giving the name and link to the mylot. it helps them to weed out spammers or who on purpose give negative ratings or postive ratings.

I think I have made every mistake it is possible to make here on myLot, including rating + a person I had just reported for abuse.LOL. Sometimes my hands work faster than my brain does. I am glad it does not happen all of the time or we would have some really mixed up ratings.

I haven't had this happen yet but it wouldn't surprise me that it does. I know I have hit the negative by mistake before and the positive too for that matter. It can be frustrating because once it's done there is no way to reverse it. It would be nice with best response particuarlly if we could correct it. That one can make a big difference but also it can reflect on the poster since if they did it by accident and someone sees it they wonder why they chose that one. I think a way to correct that would come in handy since we are all human and we do mistakes from time to time.

Nope. As you see you are not the only one. It happened to me just recently and I was thinking about the subject as well. ANd as you say we're really stuck because there is nothing we can do.

I have done that and you cant get rid of it, i hate that, i feel your pain.

I have never made that mistake, but I believe it could be very easy to do. Do not be so hard on yourself. I have noticed so many people who were marked as best response and I thought to myself, "You have got to be kidding." On the other hand, I have looked at some really bad profiles. Nasty ones. Ones that should be deleted or done over. I have seen people be very nasty to others, calling them idiot. They have such nerve. So if you make a mistake like that, at least it was not on purpose. At least you did not intentionally hurt anyone.
