No Probably because I won't post a pic of myself I can see it would happen to many people and Don't want it happening to me, so that is one reason I won't post my pic....
Lucky you I guess but that would be scary..... I hope they Don't stalk you or anything like that....
I've had guys approach me in the street and shopping centres with flowers and saying how beautiful I was, which was flattering but kinda scary too....

If the person likes you alot they may well be going over all your discussions, I'm sure they will be fine it's scary when someone you don't know personally has this strange attraction to you... I think, but you don't even know me... How could you feel this way??? I'm not a model or anything nothing special....

Hi pinklilly,
That's probably a good move (not having a picture). At first I didn't have an avatar at all but then thought I'd post a pic to make it more personal (with the sunglasses providing some anonymity).
I don't see it as "lucky" - I found the message strange, or just (over) friendly and wondered if anyone else had experienced the same. Hope the person who sent it to me is not offended, that I am taking it all the wrong way.
I have never had a stranger come up to me with flowers. I thought that only happened in TV commercials ;-) Lucky you.

Lucky you. It sounds totally sweet. Besides how can you be surprised that someone would think you are hot, I mean you are totally hot. And you know if you wrote 29 on your profile nobody would even question it.

Thanks (blushing). I am definitely 39 though, and this year is the big 4-0!!
I thought it was kind of a "chain" mylot message..it sounded like the equivalent of a mylot Nigerian "Love Scam" message that's why I wondered if anyone else had received it. Way to a girl's heart eh? By the way, I hope I am not offending the person who sent it if they are sincere (but hey...love?) by airing it like this.

I have not got any Love declaration from my Mylot friends.
But when I used to caht in Yahoo messenger, I was getting a lots of declarations or proposel of Love. I think it is normal in chating, but in a forum it looks little wired.

I think it's hard to gauge what people actually MEAN sitting behind a keyboard. It could be reflective of cultural differences in expressing fondness, could be said tongue in cheek etc. Maybe in "real time" (chat) it's easier than in a one off message. But I think it's more realistic face to face and through sharing real life experiences.

Nope, can't say that I have! I am happily married and would not welcome any advances anyway! I do welcome friendships and have made several of those.

It's great that you have made several friends on this forum. I think it is an ideal place for that.

Congrads on your declaration of love from a fellow mylotter! It doesn't surprise me though. It's an online community with a mixture of both men and women. It would only make sense someone would grow fond of someone else.
No one has declared any declaration of love to me. I feel so sad now. LOL

Hi mukarram...I agree it's a good place to gather friends (i think this is what you are trying to say?).

I have not received any declarations of love from any myLot members as of yet and hope that I do not. I have gotten these from people from other websites but not on here. I think it would be odd if someone did declare their love for someone on here that they have not met in person or talked to on the phone or any other method.

kgwat70 - I like that "as of yet" - I guess it's always good to be prepared!

I don't think that is normall, is it? I have had people do it before form the chat rooms but to me it seemed like something wasn't quit right. I haven't had anyone do that to me though from mylot. The people here seem much more normall in some ways.

Yeah, I have but I am married and that person knows it, so that was kind of strange, anyway I think its a cool way to meet people, my brother meet his wife on the internet, at first I thought it was weird but they are truly in love and perfect for each other!

Oooh...now that's a story. Even though married - it's still nice that someone out there besides your husband, has a cruch on you. I guess the main thing is that they know you are married and can't go any further.
Lovely story about your brother. I agree - the internet is just another place to meet people so you can still meet someone who happens to be perfect for you on the net. It's all about making that connection!

no i dont get such declarations yet... it might be probably you have set a nice photo at your avatar...hehhehe
previously i'd set my daughter's photo as my avatar and i got so much good remarks from others for my baby as she is sooo cute. so it depends i guess if i used my photo as avatar probably i would get several declarations too ;-) just kidding.
i am a very reserve person so thats why i even remove my daughter's photo as i dont like others to be more personal or passing remarks at me or my family..either its good one or bad.

LOl! Luckily no! I did have a stalker on another Board I visited, but not here! He wanted to take me out, and when I said "no" because I was in a relationship, he got very funny, and stalked me round the Board before getting threatening. I hope yours works out fine.

Hi rosie...being stalked around a board sounds weird. No this is nothing like that - just one declaration and then...gone :-(

Well.....!!
How DARE he! I am MOST upset now... this calls for swords at dawn! Off with his head! I want you ALL to myself!
::: stomps off in a huff :::
Seriously, though.... I've made some nice friends through various social networks, but nothing like that. But then, from all I have heard over the years... that sort of stuff seems to almost always happen to women, only.
Although... I did have a strange "stalker" a few years back who decided she was "in love" with me, just from reading my blog for a while. I used to look at my visitor logs, and she'd be looking at my site 8-10 times a day. That was kinda creepy.

LOL - don't be upset. I am quite willing to share my friendship around. Just don't send me declarations of over the top lurv, okay? ;-)
Wow, falling in love with your blog - what a compliment! No-one has ever fallen in love with my blog ;-). That sounds positively obscene.

I didn't receive a complete declaration of love but seeing that you are asking I must confess that something strange happened to me...some days ago I received a mail from a member ..I remember asking to one of his discussions...well, he was very nice and polite...he said he found my post very interesting and then he added he had looked at my profile and found me an interesting person...therefore he wanted me to send him a picture of me..well, I don't know what to think..i didn't reply but anyway it seemed very strange!!!

Not YET... Haha! do i sound like i'm wishing? Lol!
I think it can happen. I don't consider it as a normal event but it is possible. MyLot allowed us to introduce ourselves here. And it is possible that somebody might get struck on you. =) And take note, the communication lines are open here in MyLot. So be ready for it. haha! =)

I have not received yet, but let me share a beautiful Declaration received from a friend.
I love you. You're part of me. I want to always be together, and your son in my turn. To stay together, to tell, to laugh, maybe cry. I've been with when I was heavier, you lift me and made ??me to be me again. I have awakened from sleep hopes tracked. But me and supported. You were always there for me with everything, always, unconditionally. You spoiled me and made ??me laugh. You've made ??me cry of emotion, of happiness often. You remember what I went through? I do, I'll never forget. I want to be with me, let's be together forever and distance do not separate us. In fact, those kilometers are nothing more than bring us closer, for when dreams will come true. Thanks for everything you've been, are and will be for me. I love you forever.
For you, my best friend, my especially my precious.
