Are there any Special Educators on myLot?

I am a teacher of special Education. I work with students with mild to moderate disabilities such as Intelectual disabilities, LD, Behavioural disorders and Autism. There are 15 students in my class. I have an assistant but sometimes I still feel overwhelmed. I love my job but at times it is frustrating. I would like to meet other Special Educators so we can share ideas. Please respond. Hi! I notice that you have no response for more than 3 months. I am very new to mylot actually. I am trained in special needs as it is a pilot program in Singapore to have some teachers trained in special needs in the mainstream school to cope with future infusion of special need pupils into mainstream classes.
After attending the intensive course and completing the lengthy assignment, I have understood Austism and other special needs better. It really takes lots of effort on your part. I guess sometime it is common to lose sight as you may be tired due to the intensive attention to cope with their learning needs.
A lot of repetition daily to help them definitely.
Keep up tje good job. Definitely God will reward you for your good work.

Great to hear from you. Thanks for the encouragement. It is really hard sometimes but glad to say that it can be very rewarding too, especially when a child learns something new. I love my students and I love my job. Happy to see that I'm not alone.
