Trevis Smith, former Canadian League Football player, was convicted of KNOWINGLY infecting two women with the HIV Virus. He is filing an appeal. The court sentenced him to 5 1/2 years in prison. He knowingly infected two women with a potentially deadly virus. Do you all think that this sentence is fair?

No, it isn't enough! That was a sickening thing to do!
Purposely risk others to an incurable disease. I don't know what a fair sentence would be but 5 1/2 years? Not hardly.
I hope that he doesn't get his appeal. But, we all know that money talks.

I totally agree. This just floors me. I would want him in jail for the rest of his life, it's a disease that is staying in those women's bodies for the rest of theirs

no way is that enough! that sounds like something we would read in the news over here. do you often read about liberal sentencing? i remember reading about a man who was driving recklessly and killed an OAP and all he got was a fine, can't remember how much, less than a grand though.
