i'm very impulsive when it comes to shopping... but i love to buy books and magazines than clothes. I also shouldn't go to the children's section of a mall otherwise, i will surely buy something for my kids...

I am definitely a saver. I always think hard about buying anything new, maybe because I rarely have any spare cash.
I always save up for things I need and there are always things that I need so all my spare cash goes towards them.

I only go the mall when I have money and something in mind to buy. I only buy things really at church rummage sales and flea markets. My money goes so much further there. I also pick what please me and what I think looks good on me. Could care less what everyone else is wearing. So I save all I can and buy only within bounds. I have a distinct idea of what I am willing to pay for any item and rarely go over that amount. I know my priorities.

It seems to be the only way to keep going in this day and age. Help is so hard to find when the car needs repaired and groceries still bought etc. Thanks for responding to me.

it'sa good you have alreadhy set your priorities.it is best that we have a budget for the things we want so when the going gets tough,we still have some spare money to spend.

I'm so with you! I think it is sooo key to know what you will pay for something before you go to buy it! And if it's more, don't buy it. I know whether I'm shopping online or in a store how much I'm willing to spend and if it's a penny more, I say forget it. I've been sooo glad so many times that I did that. I also shop rummage sales, garage sales, thrift stores and have found some amazing deals! Especially for the kids, since as we all know, they grow like weeds! Boundaries are so important. Good for you!

I am mainly a saver but I will buy the things we need. It is so hard to save money these days though. There never seems to be enough left to save when it all goes to bills and such. I would like to buy all the things that I need and then save some for later for emergencies or hard times. I am never really tempted to spend money on things we don't have to have. I know how hard money is to come by.

i'm not an impulsive buyer. i think many times before i buy an item which caught my attention. usually, i end up not buying and just saving my money. sometimes, the ending is a fastfood store, eating voraciously and forgetting the item :)

that would kep your mind off the item and your stomach happy.

i have already fought being impulsive when i had my children. i would think if i buy this stuff, would it be that important than my child's neccessities?and after that, i would just put he stuff down and continue to look for more useful items.

if i go to the mall and saw the gorgeous dress, cute purse and nice shoes. i will look at the price of them and think i really like all of them and choose. i think that how much money i have and how much i spend in this month. BUt if i go with my parent i would ask them to buy for me aLL of them. If they buy some ,it's ok.

I'm such a cheapskate, I never buy anything full price. I go to Target and look in the clearance aisles and shelves. But if it's not 75%-90% off, I won't buy it. I never pay more than $1 or so for my kids clothes. And no, they don't look like homeless children, they dress very nicely. I've just learned how to find GREAT deals. I don't hardly ever shop for myself, although when I do, again, it's only if it's SUPER on sale. And as for groceries, I only buy things that are on a good sale AND I have a coupon for it. Again, I have to be able to only pay 10%-15% of retail for me to buy it. And then I stock up so we have stuff for months. There are some items I would never pay for because I know if I wait i can get them for free. Mostly toiletries and bathroom items. So, I guess I am a saver, although it came about not from wanting to save, but just not having a lot to spend. Now we do actually get to save some, which is so nice, but I think even if we were rich I'd still be a coupon clipper and deal finder. It's become a hobby and I just don't understand now how someone can pay retail when you can get it for a quarter of that.

nothing wrong with being practical,i am also fond of sale!it is cheaper to wait for their inventory sale, isn't it?
