and not paying attention to what i was doing- got to my door and instead of putting my key in the front door tried to use my car remote to open the door, I kept clicking on the remote and heard the door unlock (not realizing it was the car) and wondering why the front door of my house wasn't opening!?! When i relized what i was doing..I started laughing at myself...so silly... has anyone ever done something like this...LOL

Hehhe, yes, I have done it too. It's because I was either in a rush, or just not consentrating. So dear, when can we have a party together about being so silly? I bet it will be a big crowd. Have a great day.

Can't say that I have since I do not have a remote for my old van. Am not happy since it has a computer in it. Seems funny and yet it would concern us since it would mean we are distracted and need some quiet time to regroup and enjoy what is left of the day. Hope it was really a one time event.

Oh my - I am tempted to say it's our age - LOL - because I do stuff like that all the time. I remember tidying up the house one day, and my partner looking at me in horrr as I picked up a £5.00 note (about $10), and put it in the kitchen waste bin! I honestly didn't know I had done it! I like to say it's because I am so busy that I am always pre-occupied with important work matters, but truth to tell it is more likely a combination of my age, and the fact I've always lived up to my daffy, blonde bimbo tag!

It's funny you ask - I tried to open my front door this evening with my lab key from work. I couldn't work out why it wouldn't fit. It's not really surprising as my lab key is huge, and my front door lock is a yale! I totally understand the brain fart syndrome!!

That happens to me as well. I try to stick my garage key in my front door and as it does go in I wonder why it won't turn. heh

LOL, I haven't done that one yet. I have on ocassion got to my front door and realize I left the keys in the ignition. My daughter is 2 and she drives me crazy while driving sometimes. She has always hated the car seat and it's an issue to get her in. She complains the whole trip. The funny part is by the time we get home, she won't let me get her out. In the process, I tend to forget my keys.
Luckily, I carry a spare car key with me at all times otherwise they would have been plenty of days I would have been locked out until someone else got home.

LOL! I always do this with my sunglasses not realizing they're propped up on my head. I've also turned the house upside down looking for my keys only to realize I already put them in my pocket. *rolls eyes*
These are two things I do at LEAST once a month lol.

This is so funny that you posted this! Just this morning, while getting my kids off to school, I was making my toddles sippy cup, and I filled it to the top with Hazelnut CoffeCreamer! I only noticed when I went to put the bottle back. Then I had to try and pour it back through the little spout...These mishaps are usually coffee deprivation incidents, and happen before 8am lol

I can't say that I have done that before. But I have walked in to the house, after a rough day, planning on doing laundry. Instead of going to the laundry room I found myself in my closet grabbing clean clothes. I didn't realize it till I put them in the washer, and had already started the water.

I have had those days before. I have also many a time ran out of the house in a hurry only to discover that I left my keys inside and the door locks automatically when you close it. I can be absent minded or too tired to think .
