My neice and her husband just went to jail for wanton endangerment of minors

They was at a house about an hour ago that for some reason the police came. The police seen the kids and then said they smelled pot.I am not sure what is going on now. My niece just called wanting me to feel sorry for her but I do not. She should think more of her two kids than taking them somewhere like that.We can't help them, we have already tried time and time again.The babies will be taking care of by the family.
Do you think it is time for tough love or should I breakdown and bail them out ?

Wow that's full on.
Maybe you could teach them a lesson and bail them out only after they've spent some time in the lock-up. Give them some time to really think about what they've done. When you think they've suffered enough, bail them out. After all they have children right?
Btw, who will look after her two kids?

Thanks for your comment !!! I think you are right. It is her first time and maybe this will turn her around.
I know I will not sleep at all until they get out. The sad thing is her mother has already given up on her but this is the first time she has been in jail. Maybe she will came around soon. Help take some pressure on me..

I'm glad the kids will be taken care of. I wouldn't bail your neice out if it were me. I would let her sit there, until the court figures it out. She obviously needs a lesson taught to her if she is that irresponsible with her children. Maybe this will do the trick and she will grow up and put her kids first. I do hope the family can survive for the kids sake though. I really pray these parents open their eyes and realize how precious those little lives are.
