All Fear the Great Discussion-Killer!

Heheh you are not alone with this one. I've had that happen a lot and it does make me wonder. Are my responses that bad that people are put off or something? I don't what it is but when I see it happen over and over I feel like a discussion killer as well. I will continue to post but I get leary of doing so in case I end a good discussion. I don't want to do that after all. I want to see more after me, I want to see more posts so I can comment or what have you. It's more fun.

That doesn't mean anything. You are hunting for reasons to feel bad. If you happen to be the last responder, so what? You are not a discussion-killer. Let go of your fears, they serve no purpose and in this case are totally unfounded. Forget about being depressed, it doesn't fix anything and it never will.

yes this also biothers me, Not because i feel that the topic has been killed but mostly because i like to know if people thought my input was useful Im kind of shallow *praise me, praise me, praise me.....*

I really don't care about it. It would have been killed anyway. Also when you are replying you are doing the poster a favor, as you are helping the discussion to reappear in the recent pages. If no one replied after you, then that's it's fate to die with your name as the last response. That doesn't mean you are the killer, it means you are the last one who tried to save it's life. So, he should be thankful.

I know what you mean...I was just doing that ..and i got frightened seeing that I am not the last one to response at this one. But now I see that you've just started this one...so I am not late for ehmm ruining it so I can finally see my name as last response. Okay, now your discussion can end cause I am responding. I have gone through this so many times and at first it did bother me but then I decided to look at it in another way. Instead of thinking that I killed a discussion, I prefer to think that my answer was so tremendous that no one wanted to follow it because they couldn't respond any better than me. LOL I know I joke about it but in a way I am serious. It is all about a mind set, and I choose to believe that my responses are great. However, when I am looking at discussions that I started I try very hard to make sure that I am the always the last one to respond. I want to comment on everyone's responses with the hope of course that they will come back and comment, but it is a goal to have me always be the last one. When I first started here, I forgot about that part of MyLot and I am trying to make up for it now.
